  • Patent number: 11634980
Abstract: A method to estimate the likely downhole conditions in the wellbore and reservoir by Inverse modeling well flow simulation history matched with field sensor data. The invention presents a method for automating sensor data processing through cleaning, transformation, and identification of stable states. This process is crucial for the selection of data to be simulated and matched without human review. The matched simulations are subjected to a state-space model in order to assign a probability to a given unknown state. This probability is updated at each time step. As the well undergoes transition over time including decline, the drift of the likely state of operation is orchestrated to allow physically constrained movement to a proximate space.

  • Patent number: 11613946
Abstract: A pressure relieve valve (PRV) secures to the rotating control device (RCD) in a drilling operation. The PRV located at rig flowline secures to a PRV line, such as PRV piping that bypasses the MPD choke, MPD system, UBD systems, and other flow control device(s). The outlet of the RCD is routed via the pressure relief valve to discharge to a safe contained area. Such discharge relieves overpressure of the wellbore to a contained environment via the rig flowline.

  • Patent number: 11603752
Abstract: A downhole ratchet is utilized between tubulars in the drill string to reduce torsion energy in the drill string. The downhole ratchet is constructed to release when the tubular below the ratchet spins faster than the tubular above the ratchet. When the tubular below spins more slowly or at the same speed then the ratchet mechanism locks the upper and lower tubulars together to rotate the bit. The effect is to release torsional energy in the drill string to reduce and eliminate slip stick oscillations.
