  • Patent number: 11313284
Abstract: A bleed valve for use in a gas turbine engine of an aircraft includes a high-pressure cavity coupled to a valve terminal, which is itself coupled to a cap, which cap includes a valve seat configured to be sealed by a tube that serves as the valve gate. The tube is operably coupled to a movable end of a bellows, which is positioned within the high-pressure cavity. The opening and closing of the valve is controlled by the movement of the bellows within the high-pressure cavity, and, in turn, the movement of the tube towards the valve seat, with the valve closing as the bellows compresses.

  • Patent number: 11306831
Abstract: A tap assembly includes a flow control mechanism, a spindle which rotates about its principal axis to operate the flow control mechanism, and a handle connectable to the spindle. The location on the handle where the spindle connects coincides with the spindle's principal axis but does not with the centroid of the handle's planform shape. When the handle is turned by a user, the handle rotates about the spindle's principal axis. The handle also moves or translates relative the spindle's principal axis. When the handle is in an initial “fully off” position, there is an area that is obscured from a user's view by the handle, but when the handle is initially turned from the initial position towards a final “fully on” position, the area begins to be revealed, and with further rotation of the handle towards the final position, more of, or different parts of, the area become revealed.

  • Patent number: 11307599
Abstract: A device includes a regulating piston (12) guided longitudinally movably in a housing (10) and interacting with a control edge (56), at a pressure supply port (P) that supplies a utility port (A) in regulating positions of the regulating piston (12) with fluid. The pressure can be preset via a fluid connection, pulling the regulating piston towards a closed position blocking this fluid connection due to occurring flow forces. The regulating piston (12) has a change of shape (60) from its general outer basic shape in the area of the control edge (56) of the housing (10) for a flow force compensation. A flow contact surface for fluid is provided causing a compensating force acting against the flow force to be introduced into the regulating piston (12), which flow force pulls the regulating piston (12) into an open position opposite from the blocked position.

  • Patent number: 11300216
Abstract: A medical cleaning valve (or cleaning valve) may be configured to provide cleaning functionality to fluid (e.g., air and water) channels of an endoscope. Many embodiments described herein may include a cleaning valve (or valve) that is appropriate for single-use and therefore may be disposable. Accordingly, the valve may be made from a limited number of parts and materials, e.g., to limit its cost and/or manufacturing complexity. For example, multiple seals may be integrally formed with a valve stem. In another example, the valve may have an interface member, which may combine and simplify the functionality of a number of components, such as by connecting the valve stem to a valve well, sealing an opening to a lumen in the valve stem, and/or biasing the valve stem into a position relative to the valve well.
