  • Patent number: 12361580
Abstract: Camera arrays including multiple cameras which are spaced at various distances from one another are implemented and used. Multiple camera pairs with very different camera baselines between the cameras allows for reliable depth determinations to be made. Disparity information obtained by comparing images of a closely spaced camera pair are used to limit the search for matching image portions of images of a more distantly spaced camera pair. This allows searching for matching image portions to be constrained in a way that the complexity of searching for matching image portions can scale at a lower rate than the rate at which the baselines between cameras increases. This allows depth determinations to benefit from the accuracy obtained from using large camera baselines in a manner that is efficient from a processor utilization perspective since comparing image portions can be processor intensive if implemented without the benefit of constraints.

  • Patent number: 12346004
Abstract: A vehicle photographic booth is provided that accommodates cameras with lenses with focal lengths that avoid wide angle distortion that is common in low end car photography. The photographic booth has an ovoid hemispherical dome shape with a camera mounted at the apex of the ovoid portion so as to accommodate longer focal length lenses. The overall dimension of the ovoid section of the dome for placement of a camera is determined by the available floor space of a user. The use of an enclosed ovoid hemispherical dome shape that rotates with respect to a stationary stage, or in the alternative a fixed enclosed ovoid hemispherical dome with a rotating stage allows for much less light to be needed as compared to a full open volume. An ovoid shape also provides a smaller fixed footprint than a full structure for an equal camera distance from a subject.

  • Patent number: 12347460
Abstract: A video having a wide field of view (e.g., spherical field of view) may be presented within a graphical user interface. The graphical user interface may include multiple punchouts of the wide field of view, with the number of punchouts set based on user interaction with a punchout-number element of the graphical user interface. Individual punchouts may be used as output of a virtual camera to provide views of differential spatial parts of the video. Presentation of different spatial parts of the video within different punchouts may be automatically synchronized based on the different spatial parts originating from a single video.

  • Patent number: 12346860
Abstract: An automated log scaling system and method. One or more imagers may capture depictions of respective first ends and/or second ends of a plurality of logs, and use the captured depictions to scale the plurality of logs. A diameter value for each end of the log may be determined using the captured depictions. Relative location values for each captured end may be determined and used to form a length of each log. Information captured in the images is used to identify the type of tree or species of tree for each log. At least one of the diameter values may be multiplied by the determined log length, and the resulting product value may be compared to values in a log scaling chart to determine a value for the log. The value of multiple logs may be used to form a load of logs for distribution.

  • Patent number: 12334112
Abstract: User-generated content is received from multiple user devices, including first content recorded by a first user device during a first time interval and second content recorded by a second user device during a second time interval. If the second time interval immediately precedes, or immediately follows, the first time interval, then at least a portion of the second content may be appended to the first content. For example, if a user ends recording of the first content before an interesting event occurs, then a portion of the second content may be appended to the first content so that the user has a recording including the missed event. The second content may be selected based on a location, and/or a field of view of the second user device during the second time interval being similar to that of the first user device during the first time interval.

  • Patent number: 12328471
Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a processor, from a first server, a first plurality of frames associated with a media item. Each frame of the first plurality of frames is associated with a respective timestamp of a first plurality of timestamps generated by the first server. A second plurality of frames associated with the media item are received from a second server. The second plurality of frames are each associated with a respective timestamp of a second plurality of timestamps generated by the second server. An offset value between a first timestamp of the first plurality of timestamps and a second timestamp of the second plurality of timestamps is determined. A modified plurality of frames is generated by modifying, based on the offset value, each timestamp of a subset of the second plurality of timestamps. The modified plurality of frames is sent to the client device.

  • Patent number: 12277171
Abstract: A method, computer system, and a computer program product are provided for training a neural network for finding queried videos. Two pairs of video clips and associated text are obtained from a first dataset and a second dataset. The first dataset is used to train two video encoders by providing the video clips to the encoders as input and providing the outputs to a cosine similarity calculator. The second dataset is used to train a multi-mentor paradigm with two mentors. A first mentor and a second mentor are each provided the pair of textual data inputs. The first mentor provides a similarity value comparison, and the second mentor provides a word mover distance. Using the output from the multi-mentor paradigm and the encoders, a contrastive loss is calculated and used to provide contrastive learning of video features by differentiating similarity and dissimilarity of the video clips.
