Abstract: There is provided a capacitive touch device including a touch panel and a control chip. The touch panel includes detection electrodes configured to form self-capacitance and mutual-capacitance. The control chip includes an emulation circuit and a subtraction circuit. The emulation circuit is configured to output a reference signal. The subtraction circuit is coupled to the emulation circuit and the detection electrode, subtracts the reference signal outputted by the emulation circuit from a detected signal outputted by the detection electrodes to output a differential detected signal, and identifies a touch event according to the differential detected signal to reduce the power consumption for touch detection.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for jet impingement cooling are provided. In one arrangement, a fluid channelling structure engages against a target surface to define a flow volume. Fluid is jetted onto the target surface from inlets and is removed via outlets. Flow directing features form a plurality of channels with no straight paths between inlets and outlets. A time averaged flow direction of fluid in contact with each flow directing feature is more nearly perpendicular to a direction of jetting of the fluid from a nearest inlet than parallel to the direction of jetting One or more pairs of the inlets and outlets are such that a majority of fluid jetted onto the target surface from the inlet of the pair will be removed from the flow volume through the outlet of the same pair.

Abstract: A touch input device capable of detecting a pressure of a touch on a touch surface may be provided. The touch input device includes: a display panel; a substrate disposed under the display panel; and a pressure sensing unit. The pressure sensing unit includes a pressure sensor and a reference pressure sensor. When a pressure is applied to the touch surface, the display panel is bent. Electrical characteristics detected at the pressure sensor change by the bending of the display panel. A magnitude of the pressure applied to the touch surface is calculated based on a difference between a reference electrical characteristic calculated from electrical characteristics detected at the reference pressure sensor and the detected electrical characteristic calculated from the electrical characteristics detected at the pressure sensor.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are described for generating multi-tone waveforms. A count signal having a count value is generated. A plurality of step values and a plurality of phase values are received. For each increment of the count value, an index value corresponding to each step value of the plurality of step values is calculated based on the step value, the count value, and a respective phase value of the plurality of phase values. A tone point value corresponding to each calculated index value is determined to generate a plurality of tone point values for each increment of the count value. The determined tone point values are summed to generate a corresponding waveform point for each increment of the count value. A waveform is generated as a sequence of generated waveform points.

Abstract: This invention involves systems which provide for the safety of nuclear power plants that can be used in the event of serious accidents leading to the destruction of the housing and sealed containment structure of a reactor. In one aspect, the system can increase nuclear power plant safety by preventing the escape of liquid and solid radioactive materials (corium) from a melt confinement device in the event of a serious accident involving the escape of core melt from a nuclear reactor. The invention addresses the problem of increasing the efficiency and reliability of a melt confinement device by improving the conditions for cooling corium. The problem is solved by the use of a filler formed in upper cassettes and in a lower cassette. Said cassettes are configured with vertical and horizontal channels which provide for the uniform distribution of melt in the housing undergoing cooling.

Abstract: A touch control structure, and a display panel and a display device using the same are provided. The advantage is that an area of a first region which is blocked by metal wirings extending through the first region is less than an area of a second region which is blocked by metal wirings extending through the second region. Therefore, light transmittance in the first region is larger than light transmittance in the second region. A module that needs sufficient visible light can be disposed on a location corresponding to the first region to improve performance of the module.
