  • Patent number: 10077015
Abstract: An impact absorber includes an energy absorbing member that is formed of a composite material and absorbs impact energy by crushing in a predetermined crush direction, an outer tube member surrounding the periphery of the energy absorbing member over the energy absorbing member along the crush direction to prevent foreign objects from entering or impacting the energy absorbing member, and a pressing member in contact with the front end of the energy absorbing member and the front end of the outer tube member to press the energy absorbing member and the outer tube member simultaneously in the crush direction to thereby crush them. The outer tube member formed in a shape in which tubular portions are coupled in the crush direction, and is crushed in the crush direction while the tubular portions are regularly folded when the outer tube member is pressed by the pressing member in the crush direction.

  • Patent number: 10023247
Abstract: A stake pocket anchor attaches an accessory to a vehicle stake pocket. The stake pocket anchor includes an anchor assembly hung from a tensioning member. The anchor assembly includes two channel members slidably attached to sandwich a center block, with an angled slide direction that enables sliding either upwardly and inwardly to a minimum anchor assembly width or downwardly and outwardly to a maximum anchor assembly width. During use, the anchor assembly gravitationally releases to its maximum anchor assembly width after being inserted through the stake pocket opening. The tensioning member is then used to vertically raise the anchor assembly within the stake pocket until a top of the anchor assembly contacts a bottom surface of the lip and thereafter allows further tightening of the anchor assembly against the bottom surface of the lip.

  • Patent number: 4958722
Abstract: A lead frame transfer device has a pair of guides and a transfer mechanism. At least one of the guides has a first guide rail adapted for moving in the widthwise direction of a lead frame, a second guide rail which is biased by a biasing mechanism to cause the second guide rail move toward the first guide rail in the widthwise direction of the lead frame so that the position of the second guide rail with respect to the first guide rail can be varied. Depending upon the widthwise size of a lead frame, the first guide rail of the guide is moved in the widthwise direction of the lead frame by a driving unit. In response to the movement of the first guide rail, the second guide rail is moved concurrently under by the force of a biasing mechanism and the lead frame can be held at a predetermined position under the pressure of the biasing mechanism.
