Abstract: This Universal Flexible Powder Coating Tip/Nozzle (7) will greatly enhance the application of Powder Coating coverage in hard to reach area's do to the ability to bend the flexible tip/nozzle (7) & (10) to reach into those difficult to reach area's. The Powder Coater will no longer have to try to angle a large cumbersome powder Coating gun (1) into tight corners and openings, he only needs to insert the Universal Flexible Powder Coating Tip/Nozzle (7) into these hard to reach areas and bend and turn for proper angle. The uncharged Powder will flow down the Flexible tip/nozzle and receive charging as it travels past the contact at the powder Tip (9) & (10).
Abstract: An indicator system with a dispenser providing controlled release of a volatile material contained within a dispenser, which indicates the exhaustion of the volatile material. The dispenser includes a blister that contains a vapor permeable membrane that collapses on a bottom wall due to internal vacuum forces created by the evacuation of volatile material. As the membrane collapses the remaining volatile material migrates to the periphery of the dispenser thereby indicating exhaustion of the volatile material.
Abstract: A fire suppression system includes system piping and at least one sprinkler with the system piping for delivering fire suppressant to the sprinkler. The sprinkler has an outlet and a temperature sensitive trigger with temperature sensitive trigger opening the outlet for dispersing fire suppressant when sensing temperatures associated with a fire condition. The system also includes a deluge valve that is in selective fluid communication with the system piping and has a normally closed condition whereby the system piping is normally dry. The deluge valve controls the flow of suppressant to the system piping and the sprinkler. A control system, which is in communication with at least one source of power, opens the deluge valve in a fire condition when the power source is in a powered condition and opens the deluge valve in a loss of pressure condition when the power source is in a loss of power condition.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide fire extinguishers for appliances and methods. A fire extinguisher includes a container containing a pressurized fire retardant. A delivery tube is connected to the container and is in fluid communication with the pressurized fire retardant. A fusible tip is disposed at a distal end of the delivery tube that seals the delivery tube. The fusible tip is adapted to release the fire retardant from the container upon melting of the fusible tip when the fusible the tip is exposed to a temperature that exceeds its melting temperature. A pressure-actuated switch may be connected to the container in fluid communication with the pressurized fire retardant. The pressure-activated switch is adapted to shut down an appliance in which the distal end is disposed when the pressure within the container drops below a predetermined value as a result of releasing the fire retardant into the appliance.
Abstract: A fluid delivery system is provided as a modular system. The fluid delivery system provides a fluid to a robotic spray applicator system that may be used to spray a mold with a motor release compound or in-mold coating. The fluid to be dispensed is contained in the drum and is provided through a fluid circuit including a peristaltic pump, a filter and a heater. The fluid is pumped through the fluid circuit to an applicator that dispenses the fluid onto a mold. The system may also be used in conjunction with adhesives or other compositions that must be filtered, heated and provided to a spray applicator at a metered flow rate. The fluid delivery system may be used in conjunction with a robotic system. The displacement of the peristaltic pump may be controlled by a variable frequency drive or may be controlled by a programmable logic controller of the robotic system.

Abstract: A system and method for injecting a low-pressure spray of solution into a high-pressure spray of liquid produced by a pressure washing system. The system comprises a liquid storage tank for the solution that is operable to be pressurized. The system comprises a wand that is coupled to the liquid storage tank and securable to a high-pressure wand. The system may comprise a high-pressure pump that is operable to produce a high-pressure flow of fluid to the high-pressure wand. The pressure stored in the liquid storage tank provides the force to drive the solution to the discharge of the high-pressure wand.
Abstract: A gun mount for a spray gun includes a rigid bracket that is installed on a rigid vertical support such as a gun mover. The bracket securely mounts the guns so as to reduce vibration and swaying during a spraying operation, even when the guns are being vertically moved by an oscillator. A position label or other suitable indicia is provided on the bracket so that the gun mount position can be recorded and thereby accurately repeated during subsequent installations. The bracket in one embodiment includes a series of vertical and horizontal mounting holes that permit a gun body to be installed at a desired vertical and horizontal orientation. A gun blow off arrangement is also provided for mounting associated pairs of air nozzles in position to blow powder from gun exterior surfaces. The associated pairs of air nozzles are mounted on a common bracket that can be selectively and slideably positioned on a channel support.

Abstract: An irrigation system comprises sprinkler heads with an electrically configurable spray pattern, moisture sensors, and a controller. Based upon input signals from the moisture sensors, the controller dynamically configures the spray pattern of the sprinkler head to allow more water to fall on areas that need to be watered and less water to fall on areas that do not require additional water. The irrigation system can additionally comprise fire sensors. Based upon input from the fire sensors, the controller activates the sprinklers.
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and apparatus for removing oil, extinguishing fire and containment for oil spills using crushed glass.
Abstract: A method of stopping and containing fires involving, in one embodiment, taking the fumes from a turbine, jet or any chemical source, and running it through a giant muffler, radiator, or pipe. The radiator cools the fumes down from the engine or chemical store. This is a system that uses the fumes to cool the fire down, it will suck the heat and oxygen away, and replace it with a non-combustible gas. This system can also be used to put out architectural fires, by blowing the fumes in the building from one side, keeping oxygen from entering the building, by building up pressure, until no more oxygen can enter the building.
Abstract: An assembly for a fuel injector includes a fluid transportation member having a first portion that defines an internal passageway configured to convey fluid through the first portion, and a second portion in fluid communication with the first portion. The second portion defines at least one conduict configured to communicate fluid from the internal passageway out of the fluid trasnsportation memeber and a structural reinforcement portion is colocated with the second portion. A housing is configured to receive at least a portion of the transpotation member.
Abstract: A nebulising dispenser head (1; 100) for a bottle that is elastically deformable by squeezing, comprising a channel of the liquid and a channel of the air obtained in a machine block of the dispenser head (1; 100) and an ejection tip (3) provided with a sealing door (8) hinged in its distal part (35), the sealing door (8) being able to rotate by 180 DEG from an open position to a closed position of a discharge orifice of the dispenser head.
Abstract: A system and method for determining the center and radius based on a least squares approach is disclosed. In one embodiment, a farmer drives through a given arc of a circular field in question and periodically takes position measurements. In another embodiment, a Least-Squares Algorithm is used to estimate the best-fitting center and radius given the set of position measurements input by the farmer.
Abstract: A sprinkler has a housing with an inlet portion and an outlet portion in which a first outlet aperture is formed. The first outlet aperture may cooperate with other outlet apertures to define a spiral shape. A cam is disposed upstream of the first outlet aperture. The cam is rotatable about a cam axis to cover varying portions of the outlet apertures. After moving through the outlet apertures, water strikes a deflector and is sprayed outward from the head. The orientation of the cam establishes an arc angle through which water is sprayed, including a full-circle spray pattern. The deflector may be stationary or rotatable. In one alternative configuration, the outlet apertures and each leads to a different strip nozzle. The cam has an open portion that can be rotated into alignment with each of the outlet apertures to determine which of the strip nozzles are active.
