Abstract: A user interface includes a display and a controller configured for displaying image frames with variable contents. Each image frame includes a selection of display items. At least some of the image frames include a summary window displayed at a fixed location on a screen of the display. The controller is configured to assign a summary attribute to at least some of the display items and to display these display items in the summary window. The controller has an editing function allowing a user to change a configuration of the image frames. The editing function includes a function allowing the user to assign the summary attribute to a display item by dragging the display item into the summary window.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming assembly, a first interface, a second interface, a display, a discrimination processor, and a controller. When the discrimination processor discriminates that a set value of a printing condition, received from a portable terminal through the second interface is capable of being set by the image forming apparatus, the controller causes the image forming assembly to form an image under the printing condition depending on the set value. When the discrimination processor discriminates that the set value is not capable of being set by the image forming apparatus, the controller causes the display to display a message that the set value is not capable of being set by the image forming apparatus and a message of a printing condition based on another set value capable of being set instead of the set value by the image forming apparatus.
Abstract: An information processing device includes a reception unit, a generation unit, and a display control unit. The reception unit receives, for a screen on which a first instruction part for issuing an instruction to execute a first process for which a set value for a setting item is set and a second instruction part for issuing an instruction to execute a second process for which a set value for a setting item is set are displayed, a synthesizing operation for synthesizing the first instruction part and the second instruction part. The generation unit integrates, by the received synthesizing operation, the first process regarding the first instruction part and the second process regarding the second instruction part to generate a specific process. The display control unit performs control such that a specific instruction part for issuing an instruction to execute the specific process is displayed on the screen.
Abstract: A system and method for providing three dimensional printing production quality prediction is described herein. The system may include logic to scan a region of interest associated with a layer of a plurality of parts during printing to obtain an input for the region of interest and compute an input metric associated with the layer based on the input. In response to an initial set of print jobs, at least a portion of the plurality of parts is mechanically tested to determine at least one output. In response to a production print job, a likelihood of a part of the plurality of parts to satisfy a quality specification is predicted by inputting the input metric to at least one machine learning function comprising the at least one output, wherein the at least one machine learning function is trained during the initial set of print jobs.

Abstract: An electronic device and a method of presenting an error in power off of the electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a power switch that is manually set to ON and OFF, an actuator that sets the power switch to OFF, and a controller that outputs a control signal for controlling whether to supply power to the actuator. The electronic device notifies different information based on whether or not the power has been supplied to the actuator after the controller has output the control signal.
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for enhanced data collection for a print system. One embodiment includes a printer terminal device that retrieves historical values of print material usage of previous print jobs that correspond with a print job, determines an estimate value range of print material usage for the print job based on the historical values, and presents a Graphical User Interface (GUI) at a display of the printer terminal device to receive user input of a current value of print material usage for the print job. In response to determining that the current value of print material usage is outside the estimate value range, the printer terminal device displays at the GUI a prompt for user input to validate that the current value is abnormal, and, if validated, provides the current value to the print job database to update the historical values of print material usage.
Abstract: According to an aspect of the disclosure, an information processing apparatus includes: an acquisition unit that acquires an add-in to add a function to a print setting application that provides a print setting window that enables a user to perform print setting used for generating print data in a printer driver; and an addition unit that adds a button instructed by the add-in to a setting window of the application by executing the acquired add-in.

Abstract: To search for a device from an information processing apparatus in Simple Network Management Protocol version 3 (SNMPv3), it is necessary to set information such as authentication information. However, there is such an issue that, in a case where settings of such information are inadequate, if a desired multi-function printer (MFP) is a device with settings for responding only to SNMPv3, the desired MFP cannot be found even if a search is performed. Therefore, a user is notified that SNMPv3 settings are necessary.
Abstract: An apparatus includes a storage unit and a control unit. The storage unit stores conflict information indicating that a setting for printing a predetermined number of pages on one surface of one sheet conflicts with a setting for punching a plurality of rows of holes in the one sheet. The control unit performs control to prohibit generation of a print command including the printing and punching settings based on the conflict information stored in the storage unit.
Abstract: Calibration requests are received at a network service. The network service assigns a request identifier for the data of a request. The request identifier is encoded into a control strip on a test color sheet using color patches. A color encoding key encodes the request identifier using the color patches. After the test color sheet is printed, a color measurement tool is used to decode the information from the control strip, including the request identifier. The color measurement tool measures the test color strips on test color sheet. The request identifier corresponds to the measurement data. The measurement data along with the request identifier is sent to the network service. The measurement data is processed to generate calibration data, which is used to update the printing device.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes specifying unit and a display. The specifying unit specifies whether or not a failure occurring in the information processing apparatus can be suppressed, based on predetermined information. The display that displays information for enabling suppression of the failure in a case where it is determined by the specifying unit that the failure can be suppressed.
