Abstract: Organizing a participant list includes maintaining a participant list of users of an electronic communications system to be used by a first user of the electronic communications system. Communications strengths between the first user and each of the users included in the participant list are determined. The users included in the participant list are organized based on the corresponding communications strengths. Communications strengths may be determined for users included in a group within the participant list, and the users within the group may be organized within the group based on communications strength. An additional group in the participant list in which some or all of the users included in the participant list are organized based on communications strength may be provided.

Abstract: Not only in order to lighten the setting changing operation of a network utility and to shorten the required time of the setting changing operation, but also in order to prevent operation mistakes, a method for setting parameter via network is provided for a plurality of nodes connected with the network. In the method, peculiar information and set items of the nodes are read out, the common set items are selected, and the parameters are transmitted.

Abstract: A system and method for developing, deploying, managing and monitoring a web application in a single environment is disclosed herein. The single environment is preferably an integrated development environment (“IDE”). The system and method preferably allows for deployment to a cloud provider, and preferably allows for use of Web resources from multiple cloud providers. One preferred IDE is the APTANA® STUDIO IDE. An operator can use a user interface to access the integrated development environment and the cloud manager over the network, specifically the Internet.

Abstract: A system and method to uniquely identify identically configured branches in a distributed enterprise such that branch specific configuration information may be used to configure computing devices in the identified branch are provided. With the system and method, upon being deployed in a branch location, the computing device sends a communication to a centralized configuration server using an address provided in default initial configuration information. The communication is sent from the computing device to a branch router which adds its address to the communication. The branch router address is then used by the centralized configuration server to identify the branch and thus, configuration information for computing devices of the branch. The configuration information may then be provided to the computing device for configuration of the computing device for branch-specific operation.

Abstract: A method is disclosed to provide delayed responses to messages. The method includes receiving in a computer, an email message containing a control character, from a network. The control character specifying a reply prohibiting period during which a reply to the email message over the network will be prohibited. The method then includes receiving in the computer, a user request at a requesting instant to reply to the email message. The method then includes determining whether the requesting instant occurs during the reply prohibiting period specified by the control character. The method then includes prohibiting a reply to the email message over the network if the requesting instant occurs during the reply prohibiting period. And finally, the method then includes allowing a reply to the email message over the network if the requesting instant does not occur during the reply prohibiting period.

Abstract: A method for customizing color in an email message based on cultural perspective of each recipient is provided. At least one existing color used in an email message is determined, and a domain name and/or information for each recipient of the email message is analyzed to determine a region corresponding to each recipient. A color mapping database is searched to correlate any existing color in the email to at least one approved color corresponding to each region. The existing color used in the email message is compared with the at least one approved color for each recipient. If the existing color does not match any of the approved colors for each recipient, a sender-selected approved color is determined and the existing color in the email is converted to at least one of the selected approved colors for each recipient of the email message.

Abstract: A wireless communication system allows mobile users to access a resource from a content server. The wireless communication system includes a browser that allows mobile users to access resources through a wireless application protocol (WAP) compliant server. The (WAP) compliant server connects the browser to a content server. This connection allows resources to be passed between the browser and the (WAP) compliant server. The browser is further configured to transmit a request that includes an address for a resource, a protocol to be used, and one or more textual parameters encoded into a binary data packet. The wireless communication method includes generating a request for a resource; translating a textual portion of that request into binary data at the browser; transmitting the request to a wireless gateway; and converting the request into a format that is compatible with a protocol used by a receiving network.

Abstract: A method and system for unified caching of media content are described. The system includes a streaming media protocol engine to receive a request for a data stream in a first format from a client system; a streaming media mass storage subsystem to locate the data stream stored by a cache server in a second format; and a network protocol engine to serve the located data stream to the client system in the first format.
