Abstract: A child seat including a tensioning mechanism for applying tension to a seat belt to more fully secure the child seat to a vehicle seat is provided herein. The child seat, which may be front- and/or rear-facing, includes a seat base defining a seat portion and a backrest portion. The seat base can receive an untensioned belt to secure the child seat to a vehicle seat in an untensioned configuration. A tensioning mechanism attached to the backrest portion and is rotatable between a first position substantially adjacent to the backrest portion and a second position disposed therefrom. In the second position, the tensioning mechanism can receive a portion of the belt. In the first position, the tensioning mechanism applies tension to the portion of the received belt to secure the child seat to the vehicle seat in a tensioned configuration. Methods of manufacturing child seats are also provided herein.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a foldable mechanism and an infant carrier thereof. The foldable mechanism includes a first mount, a second mount and a locking member movably disposed between the first mount and the second mount. The first mount is pivotally connected to the second mount. The infant carrier is locked in the folded state when the first mount rotates to a first rotating position relative to the second mount. The infant carrier is locked in the expanded state when the first mount rotates to a second rotating position relative to the second mount. The first mount is locked at the first rotating position or the second rotating position via movement of the locking member, so as to make the foldable mechanism have a simple folding mechanical design and improve folding stability of the foldable mechanism.
Abstract: An occupant posture control method is provided that can suppress motion sickness. The occupant posture control method predicts a vehicle motion based on information relating to the vehicle motion, and imparts a stimulus that generates a muscle tension such that the occupant assumes a posture corresponding to the vehicle motion, when a predicted vehicle motion occurs.
Abstract: A reversible seat assembly for use in an automotive vehicle has a seat cushion, a seat back and a bolster. The seat cushion extends between a front end and a rear end. The bolster is operatively coupled to the seat cushion for movement between a deployed position when the seat back is adjacent the rear or front end of the seat cushion and a retracted position when the seat back is between the rear and front ends of the seat cushion to allow the seat back to rotate between a forward-facing seating position and a rearward-facing seating position.

Abstract: An office-type chair includes a base, a height-adjustable pedestal extending upward from the base, a seat assembly including a rear seat part and a front seat part, and a linkage system connecting the pedestal to the seat assembly. The linkage system is adapted to pivot the seat assembly between a lowered position to serve as a task chair and an elevated position to serve as an elevated sitting support. A backrest arrangement may extend from the seat assembly. In the lowered position, the front and rear seat parts are both generally horizontally oriented. In the elevated position, the rear seat part may have a slight forward tilt and be positioned higher than in the lowered position, and the front seat part may extend at a downward angle relative to the rear seat part.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a travel pillow. The travel pillow comprises a connecting rod having a first end and a second end, and a first pillow body and a second pillow body. Each of the first pillow body and the second pillow body comprises a frame and a soft cushion mounted on the frame. One end of the frame of the first pillow body is coupled to the first end of the connecting rod. The first pillow body is configured to be rotated at the first end of the connecting rods and locked at a predetermined angle. One end of the frame of the second pillow body is coupled to the second end of the connecting rod. The second pillow body is configured to be rotated at the second end of the connecting rods and locked at a predetermined angle. The travel pillow has a height which is adjusted by changing the angle between the first pillow body and the connecting rod and the angle between the second pillow body and the connecting rod. Moreover, a fastening means is used for carrying and securing the travel pillow.
Abstract: A system includes an adapter and a lock. The adapter includes a flexible collar and an attachment structure. The flexible collar is configured to at least partially surround a portion of the wheelchair such that the flexible collar engages the portion of the wheelchair and aids in preventing rotation of the adapter relative to the portion of the wheelchair. The attachment structure has a first arm attached to and extending from the flexible collar and a second arm attached to and extending from the flexible collar. The lock includes a body and a mounting platform attached thereto. The body of the lock is configured to engage the attachment structure to aid in maintaining the flexible collar in a closed position. The mounting platform has one or more coupling mechanisms attached thereto for use in removably mounting one or more accessories to the system.
Abstract: Systems and methods for moving a convertible bench between a first position, which presents a backrest, and a second position, which presents a table top, is described herein. While the described systems can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a base having a first end piece that has a first set of legs with a first arched leg support that extends between the first set of legs and a second end piece having a second set of legs with a second arched leg support that extends between the second set of legs. The bench further includes a backrest/table portion that is hingedly coupled to the base so as to be pivotable from a first position that presents a backrest to a second position that presents a table top. Other implementations are described.
Abstract: Infant car seats with improved handles and other features are described. An infant car seat and associated handle may collectively include multiple supports, including a lower support configured to engage a hand of a user and an upper support configured to engage an arm of the user. Examples of lower supports include an opening in a seat shell, a tubular member, or a hinged handle. Examples of upper support mays include a semicircular portion or a loop included in the handle and configured to at least partially encircle or otherwise engage an arm of the user. These and other features may increase the ease and comfort with which the user may carry the infant car seat.

Abstract: Introduced here is a lightweight, foldable seat cushion which can be placed in the shopping cart seat to support a child's legs, and prevent the hard surfaces of the shopping cart, such as bars, from causing discomfort to the child and causing the child to try to get out of the cart. A seat cover can be temporarily attached to the seat cushion. The seat cover can be elastic to allow insertion of the seat cushion. The seat cover can have an image affixed to the seat cover, where the different sections of the seat cover form different sections of the image, such as body and legs. The seat cover can provide friction against the seat cushion, enabling a user to climb out of the seat cushion without sliding.
