Abstract: A method for delivering restricted items to users includes detecting that a user has selected a restricted item for delivery. A user profile is accessed, and authorization for delivery of the restricted item associated with the user profile is verified. Upon detecting a first authorization associated with the user profile, authorizing the dispatch of the restricted item to the user at a delivery location. The restricted item is transported to the delivery location by the mobile robot. The mobile robot has an item space with a lid and an electronic lock, which is locked during transit. A second authorization to confirm a user's identity before the user receives the restricted item. If the second authorization fails, communication is established between the user and a remote operator terminal via the mobile robot, and the remote operator terminal performs the second authorization and/or repeats the first authorization.

The system may determine a first price for each water distributor of a plurality of water distributors based on a plurality of demand factors. The system may transmit a plurality of water distributor locations to a first customer device, each location associated with a respective water distributor. The system may receive a selection of a first water distributor location from the first customer device and, in response, transmit directions to the first water distributor location to the first customer device. In response to the first customer device being authenticated by a first water-distribution device associated with the first water distributor, the system may transmit a signal to the first water-distribution device to transition to an unlocked state to allow the first customer to make a first purchase of water at a first price.

Abstract: An information processing system, a device, and a method capable of identifying a time required for a vehicle to transport a product to a specified location specified by a user or an arrival time at which a product, transported by a vehicle, arrives at the specified location with high precision. An acceptor accepts product information relating to a product purchasable by a user and performance information indicating vehicle performance of a vehicle associated with the user. An identifier performs identification of a time required for the vehicle to transport the product relating to the accepted product information to a location specified by the user or identification of an arrival time at which the product arrives at the specified location, based on the accepted performance information.

Abstract: A guest initiated checkout device, a guest initiated accommodations checkout system, and associated guest initiated accommodations checkout processes are disclosed in which use of a button or voice-activated device allows guests to easily communicate that they are checking out of their accommodations. Specifically, a guest initiated checkout device—either a button or a voice-activated device—that is conveniently located in guest accommodations for a guest to use when checking out and which initiates communication with a software system to send out communication to people and other systems informing them that guest checkout has commenced as triggered by activation of the guest initiated checkout device.
