  • Patent number: 10766726
Abstract: Provided is a sheet conveying device capable of suppressing the recurrence of overlapped feeding in accordance with the detection of overlapped feeding. The sheet conveying device includes a paper-supply roller and a conveying roller. A sheet-detecting unit detects a leading edge position of a sheet. An overlapped-feeding-detecting unit detects overlapped-feeding of sheets. An overlapped-feeding-distance-calculating unit, based on detection results, calculates an overlapped-feeding distance in which sheets are overlapped. A conveyance-control unit causes the paper-supply roller to stop at a timing when a position separated a set length in a sheet-conveyance direction from a sheet trailing edge reaches the paper-supply roller. The conveyance-control unit, in a case where detection of overlapped feeding by the overlapped-feeding-detecting unit occurs a plurality of times, extends the set length based on the overlapped-feeding distance.

  • Patent number: 10724477
Abstract: A lock system for a component of a thrust reverser actuation system (“TRAS”), comprising a lock member translatable between a locked position, in which the lock member prevents movement of the thrust reverser component to deploy the thrust reverser actuation system, and an unlocked position, in which the lock member allows movement of the thrust reverser component to deploy the thrust reverser actuation system. The actuator may further comprise a screw shaft and a nut translatable along the screw shaft and operatively connected to the lock member. Rotational movement of one of the screw shaft and the nut causes the nut to translate along the screw shaft and, in turn, the lock member to move between its locked position and its unlocked position.

  • Patent number: 10723574
Abstract: A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a stacking unit having a sheet, a feeding unit, a conveyance roller to convey a sheet fed by the feeding unit, a motor to drive the conveyance roller, a phase determiner, first and second controllers, and a discriminator. The feeding unit feeds the sheet. The phase determiner determines a motor rotor rotational phase. The first controller controls a drive current flowing in a motor winding to reduce a deviation between an instructed phase of the motor rotor and the determined rotational phase. The second controller controls to perform a first drive for driving the conveyance roller for a predetermined time before a feeding unit feed operation is started. The discriminator discriminates presence or absence of the sheet at a nip portion of the conveyance roller based on a value of a parameter corresponding to load torque applied to the rotor during the first drive.

  • Patent number: 10710826
Abstract: In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a sheet transport device is described. The sheet transport device includes a pickup roller to insert a sheet into a sheet path. A pair of separation rollers of the sheet transportation device form a nip that advances the sheet along the sheet path. A first separation shaft on which a first separation roller is disposed rotates in a first direction as the sheet is advanced and a second separation shaft on which a second separation roller is disposed also rotates in the first direction as the sheet is advanced. The second separation roller is driven in a second direction via a torque limiter. A motor rotates the shafts. A one-way clutch is disposed on the second separation shaft to disengage the second separation shaft from the motor when the motor is operating in a reverse mode.

  • Patent number: 10710827
Abstract: An embodiment includes an apparatus in an ATM to transport a document. The apparatus includes a feed wheel, a stripping tire, a clutch outer-hub and a clutch inner-hub. The feed wheel may be rotated by a first-rotational driver to move the document in a forward direction while the stripping tire is rotated by movable contact with the feed wheel. The clutch inner-hub prevents the stripping tire from rotating in a direction to cause the document to move in a reverse direction when the first-rotational driver rotates the feed wheel. Alternatively, the stripping tire is rotated by a second-rotational driver to move the document in the reverse direction when the feed wheel is not rotated by a first-rotational driver while the clutch outer-hub prevents the stripping tire from rotating in a direction to cause the document to move in the forward direction.

  • Patent number: 10683916
Abstract: This invention is related to a mechanical torque generator (MTG) (11), the cost, the maintenance costs and the energy consumption of which have been minimized, as much as possible, since the reaction forces, the reaction moments and the frictional forces at the joints that connect the mechanism to the ground have been minimized as much as possible; which does not possess any actuators; and which can generate any desired torque variation. MTG (11) may be obtained by using 3 novel kinematic chains. By using these kinematic chains, it is also possible to obtain general purpose mechanisms, which have advantages similar to the MTG (11); which may include an actuator; which may generate relative rotational motion at a joint as any desired function of relative translational motion at another joint; which may be used in many different fields such as hydraulic and pneumatic machines, internal combustion engines and compressors.

  • Patent number: 10662021
Abstract: A sheet sorting apparatus includes a first tray detachable from an apparatus main body, a second tray arranged below the first tray, a discharge unit to discharge a sheet to the first or second tray, a tray detecting unit to detect that the first tray is detached from the apparatus main body, a full stack detecting unit to detect a fully stacked condition of the first tray, and a control unit to control the discharge unit. • Patent number: 10662013
Abstract: A sheet conveying device includes a blocking member having a blocking surface with which a leading end of a sheet that is being conveyed comes into contact for obliquity correction. The blocking member is rotated by being pushed by the sheet against an urging force of a positioning unit that positions the blocking member to be in the standby position. The blocking member is rotatable to be in a sheet-passage-allowing orientation in which the sheet is allowed to pass. When a trailing end of the sheet that is being conveyed has passed the blocking member, the blocking member that is in the sheet-passage-allowing orientation rotates in a same direction as a sheet conveyance direction and is positioned to be in a standby position.
