  • Patent number: 10380721
Abstract: This disclosure covers systems and methods that sharpen the appearance of a digital illustration while moving the digital illustration. In certain embodiments, upon receiving a command to move a digital illustration, the disclosed systems and methods move the digital illustration (and its constituent line segments) to positions that both sharpen the appearance of the digital illustration and respond to the command. To facilitate sharpening the appearance of a digital illustration as part of a seemingly continuous movement, in some embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods move a blurry digital illustration to a position that sharpens the appearance of blurry axial-line segments by translating the digital illustration according to a translation vector and a command to move the digital illustration.

  • Patent number: 10359909
Abstract: In embodiments of document layer extraction for mobile devices, a cloud-based image service can receive a request from a mobile file browser for a multi-layered image, and the image service communicates an image preview and image layer previews of multiple layers of the multi-layered image to the mobile device for display. The image service generates a layer extraction that is a full-resolution image of each of the multiple layers of the multi-layered image. The image service can receive identifiers of layers that correspond to user selections of one or more image layer previews from the mobile device. The image service can then generate a component representation of the layer extractions that correspond to the identified layers of the multi-layered image, and then communicate the component representation of the identified layers to the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10360735
Abstract: Various embodiments of the invention provide methods, systems, and computer program products for providing support to a party who is using an augmented reality device and seeking to resolve an issue. One or more pieces of information are obtained through the augmented reality device and a cause of the issue is identified by utilizing one or more predictive models and the pieces of information as input to the models. Once the cause has been identified, a script is queried that includes instructions to be performed by the party to address the cause and media to execute on the augmented reality device to aid the party in performing the instructions. Accordingly, the instructions and media are communicated to the party through the augmented reality device so that the party may perform the instructions with the aid of the media to address the cause of the issue.

  • Patent number: 10332282
Abstract: A method and system are described for fragmented presentation of a media content, such as a digital picture. In an exemplary embodiment, the media content is rendered on a display of a recipient portable computing device, such as a smartphone. Simultaneously, a masking layer is rendered on the display “over the top” of the multimedia content. The mask layer obscures the presentation of the media content such that removal of the mask layer, one fragment at a time over a period of time, operates to present portions of the media content rendered below each fragment.

  • Patent number: 10318629
Abstract: Examples described herein generally relate to a computer device including display, a memory, and at least one processor configured to render content modules to the display. The processor determines a display size of the display on which the content is to be rendered. The processor determines a priority of each of the multiple content modules. The processor determines, for each content module, display capabilities including one or more numbers of columns that the content module can span at the display size. The processor scores each layout of a first set of multiple layouts of the multiple content modules based on at least a priority, a number of columns, and unused space of the layout. The processor generates instructions for rendering the multiple content modules to the display at the display size according to the one layout of the multiple layouts with a best score.

  • Patent number: 10303946
Abstract: A method for offline-service multi-user interaction based on augmented reality (AR) includes scanning, by an AR client terminal of a user, an offline service label at an offline service site. Information of the offline service label is transmitted to a server terminal. Based on the information of the offline service label, the server terminal establishes a service group including the user and a second user that scanned the offline service label. In response to transmitting the information of the offline service label, service data is received from the server terminal. The service data includes information related to the user and information related to the second user. Based on the service data, a service interactive interface is outputted. The service interactive interface displays the information related to the user and the information related to the second user at a position corresponding to the offline service label in an AR scene.

  • Patent number: 10242457
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing content to passengers within a passenger compartment of a vehicle based on pose estimation and/or gaze detection. The system can obtain sensor data, such as image data, representing a passenger within a vehicle. The system can then analyze the sensor data using pose estimation to determine a pose of the passenger within the vehicle, and analyze the sensor data using gaze detection to determine a point of gaze of the passenger. Based on the pose and the point of gaze, the system can determine a surface within the vehicle for providing content. Additionally, the system can identify the content to provide, wherein the content can include general content or location-based content. After identifying the surface and the content, the system can provide the content to the passenger via the surface. In some examples, providing the content includes augmenting the outside environment with the content.
