Abstract: An engineer's vise (16) having a fixed inner member (20) with a stationary jaw (24) and an elongate extension (22) for inserting into and mounting to a trailer receiver (18) attached to a motor vehicle (37), thus providing a vise for use in the field. The vise has a movable outer member (30) and jaw (32) operated by a threaded shaft (34) and turned by a handle (38). The vise can be securely attached to receiver by a pin (53) in one of four positions: upright, inverted, on its right side, on its left side. It can be quickly and easily removed and stored for safe keeping.
Abstract: A grocery-bag holder that consists of a horizontal rack comprising a first fixed end and a second spring-loaded, telescopic end, both ends being adapted for stable engagement with vertical support walls in a vehicle. The rack contains a plurality of hooks disposed along its length and adapted for receiving the handles of conventional plastic grocery bags and holding them in an upright position. The hooks are preferably evenly spaced for optimal space utilization during transport of the grocery bags.
Abstract: In a push-button switch in which a switch mechanism switched over on the basis of push-button depression is supported between a pair of split-type switch bases so as to be switchably operated, a falling-off prevention engage portion is formed at an end of a lever pivotal axle of a inclination lever provided for the switch mechanism, so as to be engageable with a pivotal hole formed in an opposing side wall of the switch base for prevention of falling-off of the inclination lever from the switch base.
Abstract: An apparatus including a "U" shaped drain trap, wherein the drain trap includes an upper section and a lower section, the lower section pivotally mounted to the upper section utilizing a hinge mounting the lower section to the upper section at one end thereof and a latch securing the lower section at an opposed end of the latch section relative to the hinge. The upper and lower sections include complementarily configured continuous seals to permit a fluid type securement between the upper and lower sections. The invention further includes the use of a transparent drain arrangement with a selectively securable covering mounted thereabout or alternatively utilize a "J" shaped basket of impermeable material to underlie the drain trap to accept fluid directed therefrom upon opening of the lower section relative to the upper section.
