  • Patent number: 10520928
Abstract: Different cores of a multicore processor are used to provide diagnostics of sophisticated hardware without full redundancy by static assignment of the cores during individual cycles of the control program and comparison of the outputs. A method of automatically generating diverse programs for execution by these cores may modify one program to compile two different instructions without functionally changing that program through the use of DeMorgan equivalents and diverse compiler optimizations.

  • Patent number: 10518522
Abstract: A printing method for shielding component adopted to print a shielding component (2) of a 3D model (20) having multiple printing layers (11) is disclosed. The method first obtains all candidate points of first layer of the shielding component (2) and chooses one of the candidate points as a start point (211) of the first layer according to a default rule, and prints the first layer from the chosen start point (211). Next, the method obtains all candidate points of next layer of the shielding component (2) and chooses one of the candidate points of the next layer which is closest to the start point (211) of last layer to be printed as a start point of the next layer, and prints the next layer from the chosen start point.

  • Patent number: 10451075
Abstract: A saltwater disposal system and method that has a pump pod containing a plurality of individually controllable pumps. A tank pod contains a plurality of tanks connected to the pump pod to discharge fluid from the tanks by selected activation of the pumps. Each tank is configured to transmit a fluid level signal indicating a level of fluid in the respective tank. A flow controller executes computer instructions stored in a computer memory that defines a collective discharge flow rate for the tank pod from individual discharge flow rates for each tank based on a stored flow profile that varies discharge flow rate in relation to the tank fluid level signal. The flow controller also selectively activates the pumps according to predetermined operating rules to match a collective discharge flow rate of the pump pod to the discharge flow rate of the tank pod.

  • Patent number: 10422319
Abstract: A method of controlling a wind turbine is provided. The method comprises determining a target fatigue life consumption for each of one or more components of the wind turbine; comparing the target fatigue life consumption with a measure of fatigue life consumption for each of the one or more turbine components; and controlling the turbine power output based upon the comparison. The target fatigue life consumption is determined by combining data indicative of a target rate of accumulation of fatigue damage over at least a portion of the operating life of the wind turbine and data indicative of an expected rate of accumulation of fatigue damage caused by seasonal variations in turbine operating conditions. A corresponding wind turbine controller and wind power plant controller is also provided.

  • Patent number: 10389118
Abstract: A power demand and supply control apparatus includes a target value acquiring unit, an information collecting unit, an adjustment amount determining unit, and a communication unit. The acquiring unit acquires a target value of a total adjustment amount. The collecting unit collects information of registered power amount of each of the requesting targets. The determining unit determines an adjustment amount for each of the requesting targets based on the registered power amount of each of the requesting targets and the target value of the total adjustment amount. The communication unit notifies each of the requesting targets of the adjustment amount determined. The information of the registered power amount includes information of an executable time and date. The determining unit extracts a requesting target that has the executable time and date included in the power adjustment execution time and date, and determines the adjustment amount.

Abstract: A power adjustment device supplies power received from a power grid and power of a storage battery to an electric load in a consumer's facility. Power adjustment device includes a prediction portion, a planning portion, and a controller. Prediction portion obtains a prediction value of demand power that is power to be consumed in the electric load in a planning period, the planning period being a period in which the storage battery is charged and discharges. Planning portion determines a control content of charging of and discharging by the storage battery in the planning period depending on the prediction value of the demand power to minimize any one of an amount of power to be received from the power grid, a compensation for power to be received from the power grid, and an emission amount of carbon dioxide. Controller controls the power conditioner in accordance with the control content.

  • Patent number: 10209687
Abstract: Feedback is provided to a user based on a setting for a set of energy consuming devices. While a user modifies a thermostat's schedule or provides user commands to adjust a setting for the set of energy consuming devices, a user interface component generates feedback to the consumer in response to an adjusted setting based on a condition for a predetermined function. A positive feedback component generates a positive feedback, such as a positive image in the user interface if the setting meets or exceeds a recommended performance metric for an operational parameter for the set of energy consuming devices. A negative feedback component generates a negative feedback, such as a negative image if the setting meets or exceeds a second condition, such as a discouraged performance metric.

  • Patent number: 10206538
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrical kitchen appliance for processing food by means of at least one processing function, which can be set by a user, as well as to a corresponding method. The electrical kitchen appliance (1) is provided with a setting device (6) for the user-side setting of at least one parameter of the processing function, wherein the setting device (6) is embodied as rotary knob. According to the invention, provision is made for an operating mode, in which the parameter is changed by a first amount for each angle of rotation by rotating the rotary knob in one direction and in which the parameter is changed by a second amount for each angle of rotation by rotating the rotary knob in the opposite direction, wherein the first amount differs from the second amount. This solves the object of specifying an electrical kitchen appliance, by means of which a parameter of a processing function can be input on the user-side in a simple, quick and reliable manner.

  • Patent number: 10162317
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a tooling operation to be performed by a tooling system in an assembly process. A current set of parameter values for a set of parameters for the tooling system are modified iteratively, until the current set of parameter values are determined to result in the tooling operation producing an output that meets a set of criteria, to form a final set of parameter values. The tooling operation is performed with the tooling system using the final set of parameter values. A determination is made as to whether the output of the tooling operation meets the set of criteria based on sensor data about the output. A new set of parameter values are identified as the current set of parameter values to be evaluated in response to a determination that the output of the tooling operation does not meet the set of criteria.
