Abstract: A photosensitive material for electrophotography which comprises a conductive support and two or more superimposed photosensitive layers where each layer comprises photoconductive power and a binder, the particle size of the photoconductive powder in an upper layer being greater than that in a lower layer. Both high photosensitivity and high resistance to electrical impact are imparted to the photosensitive material.
Abstract: In a diffusion transfer color photographic material including a photosensitive element comprising silver halide emulsion layers having associated therewith dye image forming materials, an image receiving element, and a liquid processing composition for developing the silver halide emulsion layers after image-wise exposure and diffusing the dye images formed into the image receiving element, the dye images formed are stabilized and the formation of stains at blank areas is effectively prevented by incorporating one or more N-.alpha.-sulfoalkylated amino acids into at least one of the photosensitive element, the image receiving element or the liquid processing composition. A process using the same is also disclosed.
Abstract: A photographic film comprising a plastic support having first and second layers therein in that order, the first layer comprising a cellulose acetate together with a matting agent composed mainly of silicon dioxide of less than 1 .mu. in particle size, the second layer comprising a phosphoric acid ester, or an amine salt thereof of a C.sub.8 to C.sub.22 -higher alkyl alcohol. A light-sensitive emulsion layer is carried on the other side of the support.

Abstract: A method of preparing a monosize silver halide emulsion of which most of the silver halide crystals are of the twinned octahedral type is provided. An aqueous solution of a silver salt and an aqueous solution of an alkali metal or ammonium halide in an aqueous dispersing medium containing a protective colloid are mixed at such concentration that the silver halide is nucleated, causing the silver halide nuclei to increase in size in the presence of a silver halide solvent by Ostwald ripening to produce a population of twinned octahedral seed crystals.
Abstract: A derivative of paraphenylenediamine, for use as a color developer, having a primary amino group available for oxidative coupling, and a carboxy group bound to the benzene ring to provide the compound with the required stability to enable the compound to be incorporated into a photographic film, the compound being non-diffusible during development of the photographic film in an alkaline processing solution.

Abstract: A color electrophotographic process is provided which employs magenta, cyan and yellow toners, each in combination with a carrier coated with a resin containing copper tetra-4-(octadecylsulfonomido) phthalocyanine. Thus, for the first time a developer package is provided which is capable of producing prints of sharp quality employing a common carrier. The various magenta, cyan and yellow toners employed in connection with the newly provided coated carrier are also disclosed.
Abstract: Electrophotographic light-sensitive materials having a photoconductive layer formed on an electroconductive support, the photoconductive layer comprising an organic photoconductive compound (monomer or polymer) and indenothiophenone or its derivative as a sensitizer, and a process of preparing indenothiophenone and its derivatives from a benzoic acid derivative and a thiophene derivative.
Abstract: A diffusion transfer photographic element containing a lipophilic, non-diffusing color former in a silver halide emulsion layer, or in a layer adjacent thereto, is developed by using a water- and alkali-soluble color developer capable of coupling with the color former to form a diffusible coupled product, the color developer being coated with the silver halide emulsion layer or in any layer of the photographic element or being in an alkaline developing solution.

Abstract: The information legibility of multi-color graphic material is enhanced by a method illustrated as follows: Frames of panchromatic silver-halide black and white negative film are separately exposed through red, green, and blue transmitting filters respectively to an image of the original multicolor material. The negative images on the frames of film are developed and fixed, and then printed on respective red, green, and blue-dye developing positive transparency materials. The red-dye, green-dye and blue-dye positive transparencies are then superimposed and retained in register.
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of photographic silver halide emulsions wherein the silver halide crystals are of tabular habit bounded by (100) cubic faces and which have an aspect ratio of from 1.5:1 to 7:1 is provided. The size of the crystals is from 0.2.mu. to 3.0.mu. in edge length, and they are obtained by adding an aqueous solution of a water-soluble halide and an aqueous solution of silver nitrate to an aqueous colloid medium by a double jetting technique at a controlled pAg value of between 4.0 and 8.0 and at a controlled constant temperature within the range of 35.degree. to 75.degree. C to produce monodispersed untwinned seed crystals. The seed crystals are then increased in size by Ostwald ripening in the presence of sufficient ammonia and alkali halide to favor the cubic habit of the crystals at a temperature of between 30.degree. to 70.degree. C. The photographic silver halide emulsion exhibit a high contrast on exposure and development.
Abstract: A light-sensitive silver halide photographic material comprising a new development inhibitor releasing type compound and a process for developing thereof.
Abstract: A xerographic color reproduction imaging system is disclosed. This color system provides at least a two color image with one exposure and avoids the necessity of employing a registration step. A sensitized photoconductive layer is employed which is charged, selectively exposed and developed with a color toner. The photoconductive layer is then recharged and developed with toner of another color.
