Abstract: A secure virtual network platform connects two or more different or separate network domains. When a data packet is received at an end point in one network domain, a determination is made as to whether the data packet should be forwarded outside the virtual network platform, or transmitted via the virtual network to a destination in another network domain connected by the virtual network platform.

Abstract: A method of collecting information about a plurality of test devices connected in a network is provided. The method includes: identifying routable network addresses within a plurality of the network addresses, and sending discovery packets to the plurality of routable network addresses, receiving responses from the test devices, obtaining the information about the test devices, and storing the information so as to associate, for each of the test devices, the test-device information with at least one of the routable network addresses. The routable network addresses are stored in non-volatile memory for repeated use in re-discovery of the test devices in the network.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to a system for messaging between applications, the system having one or more processors and a memory including instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations including receiving a message including an identifier associated with a web application having a subscription to receive selected events associated with a publisher operating on a data network. The operations also include receiving, from the publisher, an event notification of at least one of the selected events. The operations also include determining whether the web application is subscribed to receive the event notification. The operations also include transmitting, in a case where the web application is subscribed to receive the event notification, an indication of the event notification to the web application.

Abstract: A method for modeling dependencies in a computing system including a plurality of resources, the method includes monitoring data communications made between the resources of the plurality of resources; modeling dependencies, at least among and between the resources, based, at least in part, upon the monitored data communications; and generating a set of topology graph(s), including at least a first topology graph, based upon the modeled dependencies.

Abstract: A method, programmed medium and system are provided for preventing the denial of file system access to a plurality of clients accessing a NFS server. In one example, an NFS server is configured to listen on a server port. The server runs a separate daemon which “watches” client requests as they are received at the NFS server. The server processing system tracks the number of times a client sends consecutive TCP zero-window packets in response to a data packet from the server. If the number of zero-window packets crosses a user-defined threshold, then a routine is called to stop responding to that client using a backoff algorithm. When the server reaches a point where the number of available threads or any other relevant resource dips below a user-defined threshold, the server process starts terminating connections to the clients starting from the ones with the oldest entry in the table.

Abstract: A system and method for interconnecting a plurality of processing element nodes within a scalable multiprocessor system is provided. Each processing element node includes at least one processor and memory. A scalable interconnect network includes physical communication links interconnecting the processing element nodes in a cluster. A first set of routers in the scalable interconnect network route messages between the plurality of processing element nodes. One or more metarouters in the scalable interconnect network route messages between the first set of routers so that each one of the routers in a first cluster is connected to all other clusters through one or more metarouters.

Abstract: A service provider network migration system migrate services from a first network infrastructure to a second network infrastructure. A joined circuits dataset is created that associates circuits in the first network infrastructure with a service provided by the circuit and a customer receiving the service via the first network infrastructure. A product mappings dataset is created that maps each service in the first network infrastructure to at least one target service to be provided in the second network infrastructure. A migration sequencing server creates a migration plan according to the information in the datasets, and forecasts for customer migration rate and revenue generation for the target services are estimated. A provisioning server configures parameters for the circuits in the second network infrastructure via a network according to the migration plan to deploy the target services in the second network infrastructure.

For example access to a user's online presence may be restricted based on the known people such that access to presence is provided only to those people that the user knows.

Abstract: A system for resource provisioning for content delivery of multiple services is disclosed. The system may be configured to offer multiple services, wherein at least one first offered service is delivery of prerecorded content and at least one second offered service is content delivered according to a deadline. In at least one embodiment, the first offered service may be video content, and the second offered service may be broadcast television content. The system may also be configured to deliver at least a portion of the first offered service in advance of use of that portion of the first offered service such that resource demand in connection with delivery of service content of the second offered service at peak delivery may be reduced. As such, fewer resources are needed to provide uninterrupted service of the first and second offered services.

Abstract: A method, article of manufacture, and apparatus for synchronizing mobile device data in a mobile device network is disclosed. In some embodiments, this includes using a processor to identify server data, first comparing the server data with a first mobile device data, and updating the server data based on the first comparison. In some embodiments, the updated server data may be compared (second comparison) to a second mobile device. The second mobile device may be updated based on the second comparison.

The methods involve configuring CN to operate in accordance with a first Mission Plan (“MP”) specifying a manner in which an assigned value for a first IDentity Parameter (“IDP”) is to be dynamically modified by a first node of CN; detecting a trigger event which indicates that a new MP needs to be implemented within CN; obtaining a second MP that specifies a manner in which an assigned value for a second IDP is to be dynamically modified by a second node of CN; determining if any conflicts exist between operations of the second node defined by the second MP and operations of the first node defined by the first MP; and configuring operations of CN to further operate in accordance with the second MP if it is determined that no conflict exists.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for obtaining a remote Internet Protocol (IP) address are provided. The method includes: receiving, by a first client, a first detection IP packet from a remote server through a Point to Point Protocol (PPP) interface, in which the first detection IP packet carries a first IP address allocated by the remote server for the first client; and configuring the first IP address to be an IP address of the first client. Through the method and the apparatus, the remote server is capable of allocating a remote IP address of a client.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing access controlled event subscription and notification and event access change alerts. In some embodiments, the systems and methods of the present invention operate within a SIP infrastructure. As such, SIP SUBSCRIBE messages and SIP NOTIFY messages are used for subscribing to and receiving notifications related to access control. According to some embodiments, event access change alerts are used in conjunction with access controlled event subscription to provide an efficient method for providing access controlled event subscription using current access control information.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for serving a content item based on the acceptance of a new feature of an online product, which may include sending a message to the client device indicating availability of a feature for the online product and requesting acceptance of the feature. An indication of acceptance of the feature is received and stored in a parameter. When a request for a content item is received, a content item is selected from a content item database based, at least in part, on the parameter.
