  • Patent number: 9778331
Abstract: An NMR MAS probe head (1) has an MAS stator (7) with a base bearing (8) and a front bearing (75) for receiving a substance to be measured at a measurement position within an MAS rotor. The front bearing has an opening for inserting the MAS rotor into the space between the base bearing and the front bearing. The opening can be closed by a closing device that, in a loading state, opens and, in a measuring state, closes the opening by means of a movement that is transverse with respect to an axis (a) through the centers of the base bearing and the opening of the front bearing of the MAS stator. This enables automated loading and unloading of the MAS rotor in the space between the base bearing and the front bearing inside the MAS stator in a simple way.

  • Patent number: 9766192
Abstract: A device and system for generating a broadband excitation signal and corresponding excitation field to a substance under test in an NMR system is presented. The excitation signal is generated, according to a broadband transmitter, to a coil in the NMR system. A corresponding broadband receiver is also presented that acquires a response signal resulting from a response field emanating from the substance under test. Neither the transmitter nor the receiver require that the frequency of operation be determined according to a particular configuration of electrical devices to determine a resonance characteristic that tunes to a particular operational frequency. Rather, the operational frequency is determined according to control and driver devices triggered according to command and control signals in the case of the transmitter, and according to reactive elements, that are not configured as a tuned circuit, in the case of the receiver.

  • Patent number: 9753423
Abstract: In a method to determine a negative effect on a surface of an image carrier of a print group, a reflection spectrum is determined of a region of the surface of the image carrier, the reflection spectrum indicating an intensity of light for different wavelengths. The light is reflected from the region of the surface of the image carrier. A reference spectrum is determined for the region of the surface of the image carrier. The reflection spectrum is then compared with the reference spectrum. Depending on the comparison, the determination is made whether a negative effect is present at the region of the surface of the image carrier.

  • Patent number: 9753405
Abstract: A toner container is removably mounted in a housing of an image forming apparatus. The toner container contains a toner and has a stirring member for stirring the toner. An electric motor drives the stirring member. A storage device stores a required load value set for the toner container. A load detecting section includes an electric current sensor that measures a drive electric current of the electric motor. The load detecting section detects an actual load value of the electric motor in driving of the stirring member based on the drive electric current measured. A determination section compares the actual load value detected by the load detecting section with the required load value stored in the storage device and determines whether or not the actual load value coincides with the required load value to determine whether or not the toner container mounted in the housing is a genuine product.
