  • Patent number: 11519468
Abstract: A bi-directional clutch assembly equipped with a pair of laterally-spaced, selectable one-way clutches configured in a compact arrangement. The bi-directional clutch assembly establishes a LOCK-LOCK mode when both SOWC's are non-actuated, establishes a FREEWHEEL mode when both SOWC's are actuated, and establishes a pair of LOCK-RATCHET mode when one SOWC is actuated and the other is not actuated. Coils units of the SOWC's are energized to shift an actuator toward active struts of an outer race. The actuator is rotationally fixed to the outer race. The active struts are biased toward the deployed position, and the actuator is biased toward the non-actuated position. The actuator includes a strut engagement feature that contacts the active struts and causes pivotal movement of the active struts to the non-deployed position.

  • Patent number: 11507011
Abstract: A partial reverse clutch assembly comprises a frame, a coupling member, a corrugated swing body, and a cam body. The frame mounts an input gear and an output gear, and, a coupling member that is disposed between input and output gears couple the input gear to the output gear to transmit a motorized rotational drive in a first direction. The swing body is coupled between the input gear and the coupling member and comprises a projecting swing arm. The cam body abuts and defines a sliding contact between the swing body and the coupling member, where a reversal of the motorized rotational drive oppositely rotates the output gear in engagement with the swing arm in a second direction. The cam body is displaced upon contact with the swing body during the rotation in the second direction to decouple the coupling member between the input gear and the output gear.

  • Patent number: 11486454
Abstract: A driving force transmission control device includes a driving force transmission device configured to press a friction clutch by an actuator and a controller configured to control the driving force transmission device. The controller calculates a torque command value indicating a driving force to be transmitted from a rotating member on an input side to a rotating member on an output side based on information of a vehicle. The controller sets an electric current command value according to a magnitude and an amount of time change of the torque command value.
