  • Patent number: 10460764
Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed create one or more digital media presentations based on impact values. In particular, in one or more embodiments, systems and methods generate impact values based on a change in a measure of energy associated with digital audio content over time. For instance, systems and methods generate impact values by calculating a difference in a measure of energy over time in relation to the amount of energy at a particular time period. Based on the generated impact values, systems and methods identify transition points in the digital audio content. Specifically, systems and methods utilize a decaying masking threshold to identify transition points from generated impact values. Moreover, systems and method utilize identified transition points to modify digital visual content displayed in conjunction with the digital audio content.

  • Patent number: 10452343
Abstract: Examples described herein may include a computing device receiving, from a first playback device, a request for first media content associated with a first playback operation. The computing device sends, to the first playback device, the first media content, and while sending that content, receives, from a second playback device, a request for second media content associated with a second playback operation, this request including information characterizing the second playback operation. Based on that information, the computing device determines whether the second playback operation is higher priority or lower priority than the first playback operation. If the second playback operation is higher priority, then the computing device stops sending the first media content and sends, to the second playback device, the second media content. If the second playback operation is lower priority, then the computing device foregoes sending the second media content and continues sending the first media content.

  • Patent number: 10445053
Abstract: Audio signals are processed by a real-time digital-signal-processing system. A digital-audio-interface is arranged to be connected to a packet-based-network. A control-processor arranged presents a graphical-interface to a user and an audio-source is connected to the packet-based-network. The control-processor receives an instruction to connect the external-audio-source to the digital-signal-processing system via the packet-based-network. In response to receiving the instruction, the control-processor establishes a first-connection-node between the audio-source and the packet-based-network; creates a second-connection-node between the packet-based-network and the digital-audio-interface; and configures a third-connection-node between the digital-audio-interface and the digital-signal-processing system.

  • Patent number: 10402651
Abstract: A system for exploiting visual information for enhancing audio signals via source separation and beamforming is disclosed. The system may obtain visual content associated with an environment of a user, and may extract, from the visual content, metadata associated with the environment. The system may determine a location of the user based on the extracted metadata. Additionally, the system may load, based on the location, an audio profile corresponding to the location of the user. The system may also load a user profile of the user that includes audio data associated with the user. Furthermore, the system may cancel, based on the audio profile and user profile, noise from the environment of the user. Moreover, the system may include adjusting, based on the audio profile and user profile, an audio signal generated by the user so as to enhance the audio signal during a communications session of the user.

  • Patent number: 10318236
Abstract: Approaches provide for using a voice communications device to control, refine, or otherwise manage the playback of media content in response to a spoken instruction. For example, the voice communications device can receive a request to refine and/or initiate the playback of media content, such as music, news, audio books, audio broadcasts, and other such content. Audio input data that includes the request can be received by the voice communications device and an application executing on the voice communications device or otherwise in communication with the voice communications device can analyze the audio input data to determine how to carry out the request. The application can determine whether there is an active play queue of media content configured to play using the voice communications device. In the situation where there is no media content being played using the voice communications device, the application can determine media content using information in the request.
