Abstract: A packaging material comprising a plurality of flexible strips of material integrally interconnected to one another along one end thereof so as to form a unitary mass and so that the strips of material are intertwineable with one another to form a resilient tuft. The strips of material interconnected via a border have a bonding material disposed thereon for bondingly connecting the packaging material to a container.

Abstract: A 2 in 1 packaging utilizing the ‘CLICK opening system (FIG. 1) cigarettes packaging and integrated with matches and its striking paper which is placed in the inner part of the packaging, which consists of: the opening of the packaging utilizing the ‘click’ system (10), the inner parts of the cigarettes packaging (11), the outer parts of the cigarettes packaging (drawing 12), and the matches and its striking paper packaging (13) which form one integrated unit. The opening of the cigarettes packaging utilizes the ‘click’ system which is made of elastic plastic or metal and the inner part (11) of the cigarettes packaging forms a part which is placed at the inner parts of the outer parts of the cigarettes packaging where evenly gluing is mandatory so that there will be no air pockets. This is to prevent the smell of the matches as well as of the striking paper of the matches and striking paper packaging (13) having effect on the taste and the aroma of the cigarettes.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system for packaging bottles having a neck portion. The system includes a tray unit and a bridge. The tray unit has a planar base, first and second opposite sidewalls, and first and second opposite end walls. The sidewalls and end walls extend outwardly from a periphery of the base and connect thereto to define a rectangular structure for holding a plurality of bottles arranged in a series of rows. The bridge has a central planar portion and a plurality of arcuate recesses extending into a periphery of the central planar portion. Each recess is sized to receive a neck portion of one of the bottles. A method of packaging bottles having neck portions is also disclosed.

Abstract: A storage case including a tray and a plurality of holding units. The tray has a bottom wall and a plurality of walls formed unitarily with and upstanding from the bottom wall. The holding units include a base and a plurality of walls formed unitarily therewith to cooperatively define at least one receptacle. Means for connecting the tray and holding units is provided whereby the holding units are moveable between first and second orientations relative to the tray.

Abstract: A thermoformed blister adapted for use with a card member for displaying articles having a protrusion. The blister locates the card member on the blister for heat sealing using the protrusion. The protrusion provides stability and nestability between thermoformed blisters. The principle use is for point of sale displays, however other applications will benefit from this invention. For example, shipment of merchandise and storage applications will benefit from this application.

Abstract: A packaging comprising a first and second outer part of metallic material, an inner part of non-metallic material made in one piece and comprising a first and second opposed side between which an element can be stored and a hinging part forming at least one hinge connecting said sides and allowing the sides to be rotated relative to each other within an angle so as to open the packaging and adapting the packaging and adapting the packaging for packing in an automated packing machine. At least a part of a perimeter of the first and second outer part is adapted to retain the inner part in order to attach said outer parts to said respective sides of said inner part for covering substantial part of the outer surfaces of the sides.

Abstract: A sharps container for safe storage of used pen needles comprises a housing within which is rotatably mounted a used pen needle receiving and ejecting means. Used pen needles are inserted into the receiving means. The receiving and ejecting means is rotated; during the rotation, cam follower means connected to the ejecting means engages cam means within the housing to cause the ejection of the used pen needle into the housing.

Abstract: A packaged block of envelopes comprises a series of envelopes, retaining plates disposed on either side of said series of envelopes, and a peripheral holding binder. In the vicinities of each of two of its corners, each of the envelopes has at least one thickness compensation wedge having a thickness substantially equal to the thickness of its closure flap, so that the envelopes are of total thickness that is identical at all four of their corners.

Abstract: A needle pouch made of a flexible material, such as paper or plastic, for an orderly packaging of needle sets (6), formed of a strip-shaped portion from the desired material. One end of the strip is folded onto the shanks of the needles and is, at the edges, connected to a mid portion on which the needle set is positioned. The connection is effected between the folded-over pouch portion (15) and the mid portion (14) which are in a face-to-face relationship. The strip-shaped locations of connection bilaterally confine the needle set and thus tightly hold the needles against one another. The needle pouch (2) may be made automatically and in a simple manner and may be adapted in the simplest way to different needle sets.

Abstract: A centrifuge tube that is compressively flattenable by manual force exerted on opposing surfaces thereof. The centrifuge tube is formed with integral hinge elements at opposing sides thereof. The centrifuge tube of such configuration may be employed as a component of a kit including one or more swab elements, for collection of specimens, forensic evidence, and the like. The swab element may be subjected to squeeze-out action by withdrawing the swab through the slot formed by compressive flattening of the tube, so that the amount of collected material transferred to the tube for subsequent centrifugation processing is maximized.

The cover (6) comprises means of attachment on a container of the packaging and a sealing wall for sealing an opening of the container (3). The sealing wall is a flexible wall that is elastically deformable by a difference in pressure exerted on its two main sides.

Abstract: The present invention is a medication reminder system and method for use with blister packs containing medications to be taken by a patient wherein the system alerts the patient when to take the medication contained in a particular blister. An audible alarm and a light indicate which blister is to be opened to remove the medication. The system comprises a case large enough to enclose a blister pack and has top and bottom halves that are releasably connected together. A circuit board comprising the electronics that operate the system is placed on top of the blister pack and is enclosed in the case along with the blister pack. Both the circuit board and the top case half have openings that allow the blisters of the pack to pass through. Openings on the bottom case half permit the medications in the blisters to be removed. The circuit board is programmable to set the time of an internal clock and to set up to four alarms a day when medications are to be taken.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a shipping system (1) for shipping articles, comprising a shipping box (2) which can be converted between an in-use state in which it can be loaded with articles and a not-in-use state in which it has a reduced height in comparison with the in-use state while having the same base area, and comprising multiple positioning elements that are stackable one above the other, each having at least one holding fixture arranged side-by-side to hold a section of one of the articles. The shipping box (2) is designed to accommodate at least one stack of positioning elements in the in-use state and in the not-in-use state it is designed to accommodate the positioning elements.
