  • Patent number: 11094038
Abstract: An electronic device may include an electronic display to display an image based on scaled image data and variable scaling circuitry to generate the scaled image data. Generating the scaled image data may include receiving input pixel values in a first resolution and determining multiple tap point locations based on a scaling ratio to be applied to the input pixel values. Generating the scaled image data may also include determining weighting coefficients based on a scaling curve and the tap point locations, and weighting the input pixel values based on the weighting coefficients. The variable scaling circuitry may generate the scaled image data at a second resolution based on the aggregation of the weighted input pixel values.

  • Patent number: 11087532
Abstract: A system receives digital images of a geographic location, associates each digital image with ground control points in a set of reference stereo images, and associates each digital image to each other digital image via image to image tiepoints. The system updates a geometry of each image via a bundle adjustment, and uses a prioritized stacking order to establish piecewise linear seam lines between each of the images. The system finally builds a prioritized map in a mosaic space specifying the source image pixels that are used in each region of the output mosaic, and forms the mosaic image using the prioritized map.

  • Patent number: 11081212
Abstract: A method for computing the release rate of a controlled release drug and medical device using a combination of imaging data and computational physics is described. The method employs a three-dimensional digital representation of a drug sample, derived from two-dimensional or three-dimensional imaging, which captures the drug active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), excipients, and porosity with distinctive contrasts. Direct numerical simulations are conducted on the three-dimensional digital representation to derive effective transport properties of the API going through a porous matrix or membrane. Drug release rate can be predicted more efficiently than laboratory-based methods. When there is strong heterogeneity presented in the drug, a further method is described that engages imaging and release simulations at multiple scales. Computerized systems and programs for performing the methods are also described.

  • Patent number: 11074701
Abstract: A 360 panoramic video sequence of an architectural or industrial site includes a plurality of 360 images. 3D poses of the 360 images are determined with respect to one another, and a subset of the images extracted for further processing according to selection criteria. The 3D poses of the extracted images is refined based on determined correspondences of the features in the images, and a 3D point cloud of the site is developed from the extracted images with refined pose estimates. An “as-built” representation of the site captured in the panoramic video sequence is created from the sparse 3D point cloud and aligned to a 2D or 3D plan of the site. Once so aligned, the extracted images may be presented to a user in conjunction with their plan positions (e.g., overlayed on the site plan). Optionally, a point cloud or mesh view of the site may also be returned.

  • Patent number: 11049216
Abstract: A graphics processor that rasterises input primitives to generate graphics fragments to be processed and renders the graphics fragments to generate a first, higher resolution version of a render output. When processing of a render output is stopped before the render output is finished, the first resolution version of the render output is downsampled to a second, lower resolution and the downsampled data elements at the second resolution are written out together with a set of difference values indicative of the differences between the data elements at the first resolution and the downsampled data elements at the second resolution. Then, when processing of the render output is resumed, these values can be loaded in and used to reconstruct the array of data elements at the first resolution for use when continuing processing of the render output.

  • Patent number: 11017589
Abstract: 3-D rendering systems include a rasterization section that can fetch untransformed geometry, transform geometry and cache data for transformed geometry in a memory. As an example, the rasterization section can transform the geometry into screen space. The geometry can include one or more of static geometry and dynamic geometry. The rasterization section can query the cache for presence of data pertaining to a specific element or elements of geometry, and use that data from the cache, if present, and otherwise perform the transformation again, for actions such as hidden surface removal. The rasterization section can receive, from a geometry processing section, tiled geometry lists and perform the hidden surface removal for pixels within respective tiles to which those lists pertain.

  • Patent number: 11010500
Abstract: The present invention concerns a computer-implemented method, a computer system and a computer program product for direct room modeling in a CAD model. The CAD model comprises a rectangular coordinate system comprising mutually orthogonal height, first horizontal and second horizontal directions. A first position and subsequently a second position within the model are obtained via a user input device. The first and second positions define a rectangle perpendicular to the height direction and aligned with the horizontal directions. The rectangle comprises edges and corners. The rectangle comprises the first and second positions at diagonally opposite corners. A room drawing operation is automatically performed based on the rectangle. One or more walls and/or wall portions, each extending in the height direction and along an edge of the rectangle over in essence the full length of the edge, are thereby inserted or removed.
