Abstract: Each of two coupling members is formed in an abutting end lace thereof with a recessed portion for accommodating a gasket and a retainer therein, and the recessed portion has a retainer holding hollow cylindrical portion formed centrally on a bottom surface thereof and provided on an end face thereof with an annular projection for clamping the gasket. The gasket comprises a small portion and a large portion having a greater outside diameter than the small portion. The retainer is attached to the cylindrical portion of the coupling member with which the gasket small portion is in contact.
Abstract: A swivel joint for the interconnection between pipes on an upper structure side and a lower structure side of a construction equipment of the upper structure revolving type. The swivel joint has formed therein a fluid passage for fuel supply oil to be supplied from a fuel oil tank on the lower structure side to an engine on the upper structure side and another fluid passage for return oil to be returned from the engine to the tank. The fluid passages are formed in an isolated condition from any other fluid passage so that fuel supply oil or return oil may not be mixed with any other fluid within the swivel joint or may not leak to the outer side of the swivel joint. Another swivel joint is also disclosed wherein a body is divided in an axial direction into two parts.
Abstract: A tube union for coupling the ends of a pair of tubes which are butted together includes a sleeve and two swaging collars about the sleeve without other components. Grooves and lands in the sleeve mate with a tube which is deformed into the grooves as the sleeve is urged inwardly under compression. The rings are urged centrally towards the central position of the sleeve by a tool constituted by two housing members which each have several components. Torsional wrenching of the housing members screws the housing members together, causing the collars to deform the sleeve. Thereafter pins are removed from the one housing members and the wrench from the other. This permits separation of the housing members from the swaging collars. The tool can effect connection or assembly of different elements.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rapid pipe coupling device of the type in which the male and female elements are locked by at least one bar housed in an oblique notch and urged forward locking by a spring. The locking member is formed by a push member movable in a transverse notch in the body; this push member has a wedge shaped slope oriented to displace the bar from locking position in response to manual pressure. The invention finds particular application in accessories for hydraulic or pneumatic installations.
