Abstract: An article for use in a torque transmitting system which has a drive surface configuration having side and end surfaces is disclosed. The end surface tapers upwardly and outwardly from a lowermost point provided along a longitudinal axis to the side surface. The end surface defines a plurality of identically configured lobes that extend from a first point to a second point. The first point of one lobe is identical to the second point of an adjacent lobe. The first and second points of each lobe are provided along an imaginary circle having its center along the longitudinal axis. Each lobe extends from the first point to the second point by a series of edges that are straight, concave and/or convex. Two of the edges are tangential to the imaginary circle. The side surface extends upwardly from the edges defining the plurality of lobes.

Abstract: A screwdriver is convenient for changing driver heads. A button is released to drive an arm of the screwdriver in a first position to grasp a fixing portion of the driver head. The button is pressed to drive the arm to rotate from the first position to a second position to deform an elastic member, with the arm releasing the driver head to make the driver head drop out of the handle. Each of the driver head can be easily mounted to the screwdriver, and detached from the screwdriver.
Abstract: A socket wrench device having multiple adjustable fastener engagement tool ends. A pair of ratchet engagement heads are pivotally secured in respective rotational and supportive orientation with extending handles pivoted together at their free ends to afford multiple socket engagement orientation by compound pivot and socket rotation within a single hand tool configuration.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for rotating or spinning a tubular. In some embodiments, the apparatus, referred to herein as a pipe spinner, includes a body, an arm pivotally coupled to the body, and an actuator coupled to the arm. The arm has a cam roller coupled thereto. The actuator is operable to pivot the arm relative to the body between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the cam roller engages the tubular. In the open position, the cam roller is disengaged from the tubular.
Abstract: The tool adaptor of the present invention includes a first work piece, a second work piece and a block element. The work pieces are pivoted with each other. The block element is sleeved on the first work piece and slidable between a first position and a second position. As the block element locates at the second position, it engages with the first and second work pieces simultaneously to restrict the sway of the first work piece about the second work piece. The tool adaptor is therefore switchable between a swayable mode and a fixation mode by moving the block element between such positions.
Abstract: The invention is a tool for lifting building materials, such as shingles, while extracting nails that fastened those materials. The slots that grip the nails are a concatenation of overlapping holes, for smooth insertion of the tool past the nails, and the envelope of the tool is a surface of curves for smooth insertion of the tool under the building materials. The bottom surface is a rocker that provides a moving fulcrum for prying out the nail, giving maximum force when the nail is first gripped and smoothly moving to maximum speed of extraction as the fulcrum moves back towards the user.
Abstract: A ratchet wheel includes an inner periphery and an outer periphery. The outer periphery includes a number of arcuate concave teeth each having two sides and an intersection of the two sides. The ratchet wheel includes a center, a line from the center to the intersection dividing an angle between the two sides into two unequal portions, thereby forming asymmetric arcuate concave teeth to provide improved structural strength and improved torque. In another embodiment, the concave teeth are non-arcuate to reduce the formation time for the teeth, thereby reducing the production cost.
