Abstract: Systems and Methods for contextual recommendation of learning content based on various parameters and using probabilistic framework are provided. The recommendation system is a function of learner's profile, job context and learner's role wherein utility values are computed and combined for each of the learning content and compared to enable the system to recommend the most relevant learning content to the learner. The system further utilizes Bayesian reasoning model for otherwise inaccurately specified parameters to impart robustness and flexibility to the system.

Abstract: A workflow server can receive requests, each for a business process workflow conforming to a business process model. Each business process workflow can include a set of interdependent tasks. The workflow server can satisfy received requests by assigning tasks to different service providers that provide software services. Each of the tasks can be assigned to corresponding ones of the software services. For each task, the workflow server can also defines an allocated cost per software service, and a time allocation per software service for completing the corresponding one of the tasks. Different service providers, including those assigned to tasks, can receive information for ones of the tasks not directly assigned to them by the workflow server. The different service providers can then bid on these tasks. Wherein when bids are won, tasks for a business process flow can be reassigned based on winning bids.

For instance, method may include: determining a cost value of at least one transaction associated with a user; classifying the user into a category, based on consumer interest characteristics of the user and consumer interest characteristics associated with the category; determining a relatable product based on the consumer interest characteristics associated with the category, the relatable product being a product purchased by a plurality of persons classified in the category; determining a relatable cost value, the relatable cost value being a representation of the cost value of the at least one transaction using a quantity of the respective relatable product; and presenting the relatable cost value to the user.

Abstract: A user's historical service data of a first time period and a second time period is obtained. Means and variances of a plurality of users' historical service data of the first time period and the second period are calculated. A risk model is generated based on at least one type of the plurality of users' historical behavioral data. The user's service data is obtained. At least one type of the user's behavior data is introduced to the risk model. A determination is made whether the at least one type of the user's behavior data is outside of the safety threshold. A service corresponding to the service data is rejected when the at least one type of the user's behavior data is outside of the safety threshold.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for predicting and classifying events that create a sudden or substantial increase in network traffic activity. To begin, an increase of network activity can be detected. Upon detecting the increase in network activity, it can be determined that the increase in network activity is unexpected in view of one or more predicted activity events. The system can be adjusted to reduce the network activity in response to determining that the increase in network activity is unexpected.

Abstract: A computer-implemented position-centric personnel modeling apparatus, system, and method may be provided. A nodal hierarchy may be created to correlate with the personnel structure of a business enterprise, wherein each node may be a cyberspace representation of an individual within the personnel structure of the business enterprise. Attributes correlating to individual personnel in the business enterprise may be mapped to a respective node. Objectives may subsequently be tasked within the model and the nodal hierarchy may be rearranged based on the results. Results from the model may optionally be reflected by a business enterprise.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for a lineage identification and tracking system. The system generates codes each resource instrument created, such as physical or paper resource instrument, with an index that can track the instrument via a qubit. The coded index is stored. During the life of the resource instrument a quantum optimizer may be utilized for lineage tracking of the instrument. Thus, generating an assigned traceability finger print for the life of the instrument generating a lineage tree. Abstract: A balanced survey is automatically created in real time, that is, while potential survey participants are evaluated. A survey histogram is automatically re-balanced with each new entry accepted as a respondent. An individual fills out a questionnaire providing demographic and socio-economic data. A vector representation of that person, referred to as an entry, is created. A similarity value is calculated indicating the similarity between the vector representation and a histogram vector representing the make-up of the survey. The similarity value is calculated by taking a dot product of the entry vector representation and the histogram vector. The system then determines whether the similarity value is greater than a similarity threshold value. If the similarity value exceeds the threshold value, the entry vector is integrated into the histogram vector, that is, the individual becomes part of the survey group.

Abstract: The current document is directed to automated market-segment-discovery methods and systems that may be incorporated within, or used in combination with, various types of analysis and optimization automated systems for automated discovery of market segments for subsequent use in targeted marketing and information distribution. In one implementation, a log of visitor records collected by an analysis and/or optimization system is processed to generate a segment-discovery tree. Construction of the segment-discovery tree produces a set of candidate market-segment-defining rules. Various different techniques and metrics can be applied to produce a set of market-segment-defining rules from these candidate rules. The market-segment-defining rules can then be exported to marketing systems or subsystems to facilitate targeted marketing and information distribution.

The relevant factors are taken into consideration and scored based on the feature vectors. A model is built and the type of resolution is determined. An analysis of the chat session is then performed taking into consideration several factors.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining an actual fatigue time (AFT) for an activity are provided. The method comprises receiving a standard fatigue time (SFT) representing a time duration. The SFT is indicative of an onset of fatigue in individuals upon continuously performing the activity. The method further comprises receiving at least one external parameter and a fatigue index corresponding to the at least one external parameter. The at least one external parameter and the fatigue index are associated with the activity. The method further comprises determining the AFT for the activity based upon the SFT and the fatigue index.

According to one embodiment, a computer-implementable method includes receiving business rules for an upper level business model. The business rules express at least one of a set of modalities consisting of necessity, possibility, impossibility, obligation, permission, and prohibition. The business rules are linked to the upper level business model by matching business vocabulary entries between the business rules and the upper level business model. The business rules are transformed to generate implementation code for the business process modeled by the upper layer business model.
