Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes an image pickup device having a plurality of photoelectric converters that receive light fluxes from an object that have passed through different pupil areas. A distance information generator detects light from the object and generates distance information regarding a distance of the object. The distance information generator is different from the image pickup device. A determining unit determines whether or not the object exists in a refocusable range in a process to an image signal obtained by an image pickup of the image pickup device, after the image pickup, on the basis of the distance information and a pupil division construction of the plurality of photoelectric converters. A control unit controls the image pickup of the object by the image pickup device in accordance with a result of the determination by the determining unit.

Abstract: The invention provides an image processing device, an imaging device, an image processing method, and a non-transitory computer readable recording medium recorded with an image processing program which can ensure a split image with a simple structure. A control unit selects the pixels in a 3n-th (n is an integer equal to or greater than 0) row as a first pixel group which functions as left phase difference pixels and reads a signal charge generated in a photodiode (PDL). The control unit selects the pixels in a (3n+2)-th row as a second pixel group which functions as right phase difference pixels and reads a signal charge generated in a photodiode (PDR). The control unit selects the pixels in a (3n+1)-th row as a third pixel group which functions as normal pixels, adds the signal charges generated in the photodiodes (PDL and PDR) and reads the sum of the signal charges.

  • Patent number: 9838602
Abstract: A method for controlling a camera mode is executed at a camera including a controller, a sensor array, an IR filter, and a lens assembly. The camera is operated in a night mode. While in the night mode the IR filter is not interposed between the lens assembly and the sensor array, the camera receives at the sensor array ambient light that is not filtered by the IR filter, determines whether the received ambient light is due to a light source other than an IR light source, and detects a light level of the received ambient light. The camera switches the operation of the camera from the night mode to a day mode when it is determined the received ambient light is due to a light source other than an IR light source and that the light level of the received ambient light exceeds a first threshold.

  • Patent number: 9794452
Abstract: Noise is sufficiently reduced in a moving image. A determination section determines, each time an input image is input, whether a change amount of a pixel value distribution in the input image and an output image that is output is smaller than a predetermined threshold value. A mixing ratio supply section supplies a value that becomes larger as the number of times the change amount is sequentially determined to be smaller than the predetermined threshold value becomes larger, the value serving as a mixing ratio of the output image in mixing of the input image and the output image. A mixing section mixes, each time the input image is input, the input image and the output image based on the supplied mixing ratio and outputs the input image and the output image to serve as a new output image.
