  • Patent number: 10895665
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting and locating hydrocarbon deposits under a body of water in several steps. First, images of a surface of the body of water taken at different times are acquired. Next, for each image, traces of hydrocarbon leaks are identified. Next, a detection map is generated. This map indicates probabilities of the presence of a hydrocarbon leak around the identified traces. The map is obtained by processing the image at least based on a criterion of distance to the identified traces. Finally, the detection maps are combined to produce a hydrocarbon leak location map.

  • Patent number: 10869724
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of determining the sagittal rotation of a patient's pelvis based on a standard anterior posterior X-ray-image with known image parameters and a calibration of the image, for example by using at least one King-Mark calibration object. The angle of the pelvic rotation is determined between a pelvic plane which is orthogonal to the midsagittal plane of the pelvis, and the image plane of the X-ray-image. Assuming the patient's position shown on the X-ray-image represents a standard neutral position, the X-ray-image plane can be used as a functional reference plane for further calculations, for example during hip-replacement surgery. The present invention further relates to a corresponding computer program and system.

  • Patent number: 10839235
Abstract: In a light control system, a captured image of a cruising direction of a vehicle is acquired, and a light source is extracted from the captured image. A probability for estimating a light source to be a vehicle light source originating from a vehicle is calculated based on light source parameters for differentiating the light source. A dark section that is darker than the periphery and is present below the light source in the captured image is extracted. The probability is set to be higher for the light source of which the dark section is extracted. The light source having a probability that is a reference value set in advance or higher is estimated to be a light source of another vehicle. When the dark section that is detected as a shadow of a vehicle is detected, the probability of the light source being a vehicle light source is set to be high.

  • Patent number: 10825167
Abstract: Machine learning is used to assess data for a patient in an emergency, providing rapid diagnosis based on a large amount of information. Assistance in triage may be provided. Given the large variety of patients and conditions that may occur, the machine learning may rely on synthetically generated images for more accurate prediction. • Patent number: 10819881
Abstract: An image encryption/decryption system performs quantification and reconstruction of 2-D and 3-D layered and arbitrary grayscale or binary images in raster or vector format and supports their secure transmission between a Sender and a Receiver. Quantification parameters of the images include Indices of Intrinsic Anisotropy of size (IIAsize) and structure (IIAstr), which reflect the image anisotropy with high sensitivity. The IIASTR and IIASIZE are used as hash values in authentication of a transmitted image. The system assures that the same set of transects which was used by the Sender in the image encryption will be used only by an authorized Receiver for decryption of the image.

  • Patent number: 10794981
Abstract: A magnetic resonance system is operated in a preliminary examination so as to acquire magnetic resonance data while an object undergoing investigation is in a first position relative to the scanner of the magnetic resonance system. Using the first magnetic resonance data, or image data derived therefrom, a processor reconstructs an image of the object. The image has a distortion in relation to the object. The processor presents the image to a person operating the system at a display device. The processor reconstructs the image such that the distortion is determined by a target position that is independent of the position of the object.

  • Patent number: 10789503
Abstract: The method and system may be used to provide an indication of a color value for a particular siding sample and to color match a specific siding product to the color value of the siding sample. The system receives a digital image of a siding sample and a desired color value to be matched. A color query module plots this desired color value as a desired color point in a multidimensional color space together with a plurality of color reference points. Each color reference point represents the color value of an existing siding product. The system determines a “distance” between the desired color point and each plotted color reference point within the color space and identifies the siding product associated with the color reference point that is located the shortest distance to the desired color point within the color space.
