  • Patent number: 7530890
Abstract: A quickly detached cooling fan mounting bracket for a computer, by which a cooling fan can be quickly removed away from a computer chassis without detaching any other peripheral devices, whereby a large enough computer inner space is exposed in order to facilitate rapid replacement of electrical components. The cooling fan mounting bracket includes a cooling fan receptive mount; a cooling fan; a connecting member, which allows the cooling fan receptive mount to be movably installed on the computer chassis; and a orienting member, which secures the cooling fan receptive mount and the cooling fan onto the computer chassis, and prevents the cooling fan from vibration during the normal operation. Compared with the conventional art, the present invention is easier to remove the cooling fan away from the chassis, thereby, facilitates rapid replacement or maintenance of the computer components.

  • Patent number: 7503843
Abstract: An orientation-independent compartment pressure relief valve comprises a housing with a throughflow channel having an intake and an exhaust. A flange disposed around the inner wall of said housing defines an aperture within the throughflow channel and sealing flap is secured to the flange sealingly covering said aperture. Sealing flap is comprised of a relatively pliable layer and a relatively rigid layer and is oriented such that relatively pliable layer is in contact with flange. Pliable layer allows sealing flap to flexibly open in response to compartment pressure and rigid layer acts to close sealing flap irrespective of pressure relief valve's orientation in relation to a gravity vector.

  • Patent number: 7481703
Abstract: An air conditioner includes an air conditioning case for defining an air passage through which air flows into a vehicle compartment, a functional member located in the air conditioning case for performing air conditioning of the vehicle compartment, an outside wall member arranged outside a side wall of the air conditioning case to form a clearance with the side wall, and a coupling part through which the outside wall member is integrated with the side wall. In this air conditioner, the outside wall member is located across approximately a projected line of a central line of the functional member extending in a longitudinal direction of the functional member, projected onto the side wall. Therefore, a vibration of the air conditioning case can be reduced, and a noise generation can be effectively restricted.

  • Patent number: 7416138
Abstract: The present invention relates to distribution of conditioned air from automotive HVAC units, in particularly, distribution systems having both front and rear components. In particular, the present invention improves the temperature characteristics of the rear floor area of distribution in the cockpit, cab or passenger compartment, in a variety of temperature modes. By providing for a valving or closing off means on a rear distribution door, regulation and adjustment of the stratification and temperature of air reaching the rear, and especially, the rear floor area of the cockpit, cab or passenger compartment, is achieved by blocking or closing off a channel between the heater core area of the HVAC and the distribution system.

  • Patent number: 7410104
Abstract: A radiant heating system includes an air-to-fluid heat exchanger, a radiant heating loop and a pump and conduits to circulate heating fluid between the air-to-fluid heat exchanger and the radiant fluid loop. The air-to-fluid heat exchanger is installed within a hot air duct connected to a conventional forced air furnace; preferably in a section of the hot air duct located near the forced air furnace with an expanded cross-section. In operation, the apparatus uses heated air supplied by the forced air furnace to heat the heating fluid circulating through the apparatus. Some of the heat from an air flow supplied by the forced air furnace passing through the hot air duct is transferred to heating fluid in the air-to-fluid heat exchanger, installed within the hot air duct. This heating fluid is then circulated through a radiant heating loop to heat a desired area.

  • Patent number: 7410416
Abstract: A complete plastic HVAC system assembled using individual plastic components for ensuring the efficient and quiet distribution of air from a central air unit to multiple distribution points and preventing heating and cooling losses, the need for installers to stock multiple sized and shaped components, the accumulation of dust, dirt and pollens during storing, installing and use on the surfaces of the individual components. The fittings have a collar sizable to fit both 6 and 7-inch pipe, whether flexible or rigid. The use of plastic fittings, duct and pipe removes the potential of injury commonly associated with conventional metal ductwork, while providing seamless components that can be configured for any type of installation and insure an air tight connection between adjoining surfaces. The individual fittings include a register boot, torpedo boot, straight boot, rigid and flexible pipe and couplers, straight and 90-degree takeoffs, a plastic duct and duct end cap.

  • Patent number: 7401742
Abstract: A temporary heating apparatus comprises a portable heat exchanger which transfers heat from a hot fluid circulating in a primary circulation loop thereof to a heated liquid circulating in a secondary circulation loop thereof. The heat exchanger is connectable to a hot fluid source such that hot fluid from the hot fluid source circulates through the primary circulation loop. A portable remote heating unit comprises a fluid coil releasably connected by flexible conduits to the secondary circulation loop, and a secondary pump is connected to the flexible conduits and the secondary circulation loop to pump heated liquid through the secondary circulation loop, flexible conduits, and the fluid coil of the remote heating unit. The heat exchanger isolates the heating circuit from the hot fluid source, allowing the use of steam as the hot fluid source, and further allowing high pressures in the heating circuit, such as encountered in tall buildings.
