  • Patent number: 10586195
Abstract: The present subject matter discloses system and method for executing prescriptive analytics. Simulation is performed from an input data (xinput) and simulation parameters (?) to generate simulating data (D). Further, forecast data may be predicted by processing the simulating data (D) using predictive model (M). Further, prescriptive value (x?) may be determined based on the forecast data by using optimization model. The prescriptive value (x?) may be determined such that an objective function associated with the optimization model is optimized, whereby the optimization of the objective function indicates business objective being achieved. Further, the steps of simulating, predicting and determining may be iteratively performed until the objective function is not further optimized, satisfying predefined condition.

  • Patent number: 10572838
Abstract: An approach is provided for rationalizing operational data. Persisted knowledge of previous data transactions is determined to not include a previous data profile matching a current data profile. Stochastic data sampling generates a sample of a current dataset. Data size and shape corrections are determined and updated by iterations of a statistical inference technique. Data in the sample is corrected by using the data size and shape corrections to provide a confidence level exceeding a threshold. Persisted knowledge configurations are updated with parameters of the statistical inference technique, the data size and shape corrections, and filtering rule(s). A recommended modification of a query of a current data transaction is determined to provide data in the current dataset with the level of confidence exceeding the threshold. The recommended modification is applied to the query.

  • Patent number: 10552778
Abstract: An imaging device captures movements and/or non-movements of an operator of a Point-Of-Sale (POS) terminal during an ongoing transaction at the POS terminal. Events from the POS terminal are combined with the captured movements and/or non-movements to determine or predict what steps the operator should next do in furtherance of the ongoing transaction. Those steps are automatically communicated to the operator of the POS terminal for the transaction to progress.

  • Patent number: 10482406
Abstract: In an energy-saving-operation recommending system, a total energy consumption of plural facilities during passage of one material to be rolled through a rolling line is calculated, and the total energy consumption is divided by a width and a length of the material to be rolled before rolling to calculate an energy consumption reference value that defines energy consumption per unit width and unit length of the material to be rolled. The energy consumption reference value is stored in association with a steel grade and a target post-rolling plate thickness of the material to be rolled. An energy consumption reference value corresponding to a steel grade and a target post-rolling plate thickness of a material to be next rolled on the rolling line is obtained. The energy consumption reference value is multiplied by a width and a length of the material to be next rolled to calculate predicted energy consumption.

  • Patent number: 10430747
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for improving management and performance of an employee. An indication of a goal sponsored by an owner, such as a manager, is received. After receiving an indication of a user subscribing to the goal sponsored by the owner, communications (e.g., posts) on the social network involving the subscribed user that include a tag designating the goal may be monitored. Upon detecting a completion of the goal by the subscribed user in the monitored communications, a pattern of steps (e.g., “prepare,” “review” and “finish”) to accomplish the goal is determined based on the monitored communications. The pattern may then be used to recommend actions to other users subscribed to the goal concerning accomplishing the goal based on the pattern. Furthermore, the owner may receive indications as to the progress of the user in accomplishing the goal based on the pattern.

  • Patent number: 10430807
Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein score leads by determining and applying a scoring rule based on lead participation in an activity. This involves a processor of a computing device receiving information on participation in the activity by prior leads that resulted in conversions or rejections. A scoring rule is determined for the activity by assigning a score to the activity based on the information on participation in the activity by the prior leads that resulted in the conversions or the rejections. A new lead is scored using the scoring rule by assigning the new lead the score based on participation by the new lead in the activity. The scoring of the new lead can be used in various ways. In one example, the score of the new lead is used to determine to send a communication to the new lead.

Abstract: An approach is provided for rationalizing operational data. A current data profile of a current dataset utilized by a current data transaction is determined. Persisted knowledge of previous data transactions is determined to include a previous data profile of a previous dataset that matches the current data profile. If the persisted knowledge indicates that data size and shape corrections were applied to the previous dataset, filtering corrections of the current dataset based on the data size and shape corrections are determined, the persisted knowledge is rationalized based on the filtering corrections, and queries of the current transaction are modified based on the filtering corrections, or if the data size and shape corrections were not applied to the previous dataset, the persisted knowledge is rationalized based on the data profile match and the queries of the current transaction are modified based on the rationalized persisted knowledge.
