  • Patent number: 6910839
Abstract: The invention, relating to an internal, active, compensatory and method and device for the rotational main-shaft of a cutting tool with axial bias-and-swing, mainly applies an active technique to a gas-floating main-shaft to thereby control its bias-and-swing. A sensor at the exterior of the main-shaft directly measures the axial bias-and-swing of the cutting tool. Taking the measured data as feedback signals, the cutting point of the cutting tool is maintained at an axial positioning accuracy that is predetermined. Further, the invention is arranged with an electromagnetic controlling module to the mandrel's tail end at the interior of the main-shaft for taking non-contacting magnetic force to finely tune the axial position of the mandrel, such that an active compensatory function of the axial position of the cutting point of a cutting tool in action is achieved.

  • Patent number: 6632122
Abstract: A toy vehicle is configured for itinerant maneuvers and is programmed by manually drawing a path on an exposed surface of a mechanical touch screen assembly on the vehicle. A microprocessor, coupled with the touch screen assembly, reads the manually drawn path and controls movement of the vehicle to follow the manually drawn path. In one embodiment, the drawn path is erased to enter a new path by pivoting the first sheet of the assembly away from the second sheet and, in another embodiment, by separating the first and second sheets by sliding a horizontal plate between the sheets. A sensor on the vehicle detects the presence of a stylus in a holder. The microprocessor responds to the presence to initiate the itinerant movement and/or activate a visual indicator or an audio generator or both in the toy vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6527619
Abstract: A toy vehicle has a vehicle body, a firing apparatus rotatably mounted on the vehicle body and a ram mounted within the firing apparatus. A spring is operably coupled to the ram and a firing lever is rotatably coupled to the firing apparatus and the ram. Rotation of the firing lever retracts the ram against the spring and abruptly releases the ram to strike a projectile within the firing apparatus to fire the projectile from the firing apparatus. A pair of foot rests are pivotally mounted and releasably latched to the vehicle body and released by a button mounted on the rear of the vehicle body. The toy vehicle further includes circuitry having switches for operating light and/or sound effects on the toy vehicle.
