Abstract: The present invention provides a pigment dispersion and a method of producing the pigment dispersion. The pigment dispersion includes: water; a pigment; a pigment dispersing polymer; and a rosin acid that includes at least one selected from the group consisting of abietic acid, salts of abietic acid, dihydroabietic acid and salts of dihydroabietic acid, and a total content of abietic acid, salts of abietic acid, dihydroabietic acid and salts of dihydroabietic acid is 50% by mass or higher with respect to a total mass of the rosin acid contained in the pigment dispersion. The pigment dispersion is excellent in terms of dispersibility, storage stability after dispersion, and jettability when used for an inkjet recording ink.

Abstract: Grouts, grout products and methods of applying such grouts that include a urethane-acrylic hybrid polymer dispersion (UA-HPD) and a filler material. The UA-HPD may be present in an amount of about 10-40% by weight of the composition, while the filler material may be present in an amount of about 60-90% by weight of the composition. Additional filler materials may also be provided within the UA-HPD grout composition to provide the resultant UA-HPD grout with desired characteristics and properties. The UA-HPD containing grouts are applied between spaced-apart tiles and/or masonry to fill voids and/or joints there-between.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a preparing method of a polyolefin resin mono chip including: forming a thermoplastic resin composite by impregnating a fiber reinforcing agent having a length of 5 mm to 20 mm into a molten mixture including a propylene homopolymer of which a molecular weight distribution Is 3 to 6, and a colorant, wherein a cooling speed at room temperature of the thermoplastic resin composite is 19° C./min or more. In addition, the present invention relates to a polyolefin resin mono chip including: a thermoplastic resin composite including a polymer substrate including a propylene homopolymer of which a molecular weight distribution is 3 to 6, and a colorant; and a fiber reinforcing agent having a length of 5 mm to 20 mm and impregnated into the polymer substrate, wherein an impact strength measured according to ASTM D256 is 200 J/m or more.
Abstract: Highly stable films containing semiconductor nanoparticles (“quantum dots”) are prepared from resins containing a fast-curing inner phase having a high glass transition temperature (Tg) and certain inner phase/outer phase combinations. The resins may comprise an inner phase and outer phase (but may appear to be a single phase due to their homogeneous appearance when viewed using an optical microscope). The method provides a highly scalable and cost-effective procedure for preparing films that are resistant to light, elevated temperatures, moisture, and oxygen.

Abstract: The present invention relates to high thermal resistance synthetic rubber and a compound for a wheel balance weight using the same. In some aspects, the high specific gravity compound for the wheel balance weight has excellent curve adhesive strength and is capable of being cut and used as needed. Provided herein is a method of forming a high thermal resistance elastic body synthetic rubber. The method includes blending acrylic rubber and fluoro rubber. A wheel balance weight having a high specific gravity elastic body can be formed by using the high thermal resistance synthetic rubber described herein as a base polymer and a metal powder.

Abstract: An upconverting pigment dispersion includes an upconverting pigment, such as a ?-NaYF4 crystal doped with at least one of Erbium, Ytterbium or Thulium. The upconverting pigment dispersion is aqueous.
