  • Patent number: 11240841
Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to use of a default communication configuration for cross carrier wireless communication. For example, a wireless communication device such as a user equipment (UE) may use a default communication configuration that includes quasi-colocation information (e.g., a default CORESET configuration) for communication on a secondary component carrier (SCC). The default communication configuration may be used, for example, in scenarios where a CORESET is not defined for the SCC and other configuration information is not available. For example, other configuration information might not be available due to a short time gap between a grant sent on a primary component carrier (PCC) and the communication on the SCC scheduled by the grant.

  • Patent number: 11206643
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An uplink preemption indication (PI) may be transmitted from a serving cell to a user equipment (UE), where the uplink PI indicates that uplink traffic is to be preempted. In some cases, the UE may communicate with the serving cell on a first component carrier (CC) according to a first time division duplexing (TDD) configuration, where the first TDD configuration includes uplink and downlink portions. The serving cell may transmit the uplink PI on a second CC, and the UE may monitor for and receive the uplink PI during downlink portions of the second CC during uplink portions of the first CC. In some cases, the UE may monitor the second CC in accordance with a frequency division duplexing (FDD) configuration. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may monitor the second CC in accordance with a second complementary TDD configuration.

  • Patent number: 11204791
Abstract: A method of performing ingress traffic optimization for active/active data centers. The method creates site-specific grouping constructs for virtual machines that run applications that are advertised to the external networks. The site specific grouping constructs provide an abstraction to decouple virtual machines from traditional networks for common ingress network policies. Each site-specific container includes a list of the virtual machines currently located at the site as well as a unique identifier of the site. Each virtual machine in a container is identified through the abstraction of metadata tag, logical data center objects, or the virtual machine's unique name. The IP address of each virtual machine is retrieved from the guest operating system and a network policy is generated to advertise the IP addresses of the virtual machines to the site's routing peer.

  • Patent number: 11159963
Abstract: The present description provides methods, computer program products, and systems for alternative network communication for access point troubleshooting and monitoring. When a station has difficulty initiating or maintaining a connection with an access point, or even when performance is suboptimal, alternative network communication is initiated. The issue can be handled by reporting to a troubled access point for self-correction, or by uploading interrogation commands or code for active correction externally by a station. Further actions can be taken, for example, when a station determines through alternative communication that a troubled access point itself has connection issues to a back end network, the station uses a different access point for reporting up to a network admin. Although Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are described herein, other combinations of wireless protocols are implementable.

  • Patent number: 11153231
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for processing flush requests within a packet network. The apparatus comprises a requester device within the packet network arranged to receive a flush request generated by a remote agent requesting that one or more data items be flushed to a point of persistence. The requester device translates the flush request into a packet-based flush command conforming to a packet protocol of the packet network. A completer device within the packet network that is coupled to a persistence domain incorporating the point of persistence is arranged to detect receipt of the packet-based flush command, and then trigger a flush operation within the persistence domain to flush the one or more data items to the point of persistence. This provides a fast, hardware-based, mechanism for performing a flush operation within a persistence domain without needing to trigger software in the persistence domain to handle the flush to the point of persistence.

  • Patent number: 11070434
Abstract: A communications network node has a memory storing information about the topology of a network, configuration data comprising attributes of the network, and information about a routing protocol of the network. The memory stores a comparison function derived from a best path definition of the routing protocol. A path finding component of the node computes, for an individual one of the nodes, a routing table specifying which neighbors of the individual node incoming data received at the individual node is to be routed to, where computing the routing table comprises searching for optimal paths between the nodes, using the information about the topology of the network and the configuration data, and using the comparison function to guide the search; and wherein optimal paths between the nodes are optimal with respect to one or more of the attributes.
