The buffering member is positioned between the first housing and the second housing. The buffering member includes a first buffering portion and a second buffering portion. The first buffering portion is positioned between the first housing and the second housing and separates the first and second housings. The second buffering portion protrudes between the first flange and the second flange.

Abstract: A mounting tray for a supporting and electrical component relative to an opening in a wall can include a rear wall that defines an opening. A side wall can extend outwardly from the rear wall and collectively define a pocket with the rear wall. An outer flange can extend around the side wall from a first location at the side wall to a second location at an outer perimeter. The outer flange can slope at a non-orthogonal angle from the first location to the second location. The outer perimeter of the outer flange can be offset inboard of the opening in the wall in an installed position.

Abstract: An electrical floor box assembly for installation in a floor structure includes an electrical floor box having a plurality of sidewalls and at least one clamp device attached to a sidewall so that the floor box may be mounted to a raised floor structure or leveled atop a support surface using the clamp device. The clamp device includes a clamp body, a threaded rod mounted for rotation along a longitudinal axis within the clamp body, and a clamp arm threadingly engaging the threaded rod so that it is movable along the rod in association with rotation thereof and can be moved into engagement with the undersurface of the floor structure to secure the floor box in place. The clamp device may further include a leveling subassembly for installation of the electrical floor box onto a support surface prior to construction of the floor around the leveled floor box.

Support plate 13 has additional hole b, with rectangular hole c being on lock cover 7; it is convenient for user to secure with a lock without removal of unit when lock cover 11 is operated. Stop button 4 has retainer 3, retainer is used to cover hole g to prevent foreign objects from falling into after removal of plug-in unit 1.

Abstract: For connecting a flat cable having a wire interval and a plurality of contact blades having a terminal interval different from the wire interval, a wiring harness includes a flat cable having a plurality of electric wires and joints joining the adjacent electric wires to each other, and a plurality of contact blades arranged along a widthwise direction of the flat cable and connected to a core wire of the electric wire by penetrating an interim portion in a lengthwise direction of the flat cable. A slit is provided at the interim portion at the joint. The plurality of electric wires at the interim portion is positioned corresponding to the contact blade to be electrically connected thereto by being neared to each other by narrowing a width of the slit.

Abstract: A protective insert for wires in a junction box is formed by a lockable cover having a frame with an opening and a pivotable cover for covering the opening. The frame is sized to rest on an inner lip of the box, which lip normally holds a lid for the box. The lid rests on the lockable cover. The cover may be pivoted open for access to wires in the junction box and may be pivoted closed, and locked, to protect the wires from theft or vandalism. The lockable cover is held down on the lip preferably by chains fixed to the frame with stakes fixed to a free end of the chains, and by pounding the stakes into the ground at the bottom of the box. In another embodiment, there is a lock. Further, the insert is anchored to the box by J-shaped hooks. In a further embodiment, the insert is anchored by an elongated rod with curled up ends, and may be set in concrete around the box.

Abstract: A push-in emergency stop cover with a plug-in unit includes a retainer, a stop button, a lock cover, a lock base, a combination of a lock and lock spring assembled in the lock cover, a plug-in unit, a slide block, a push button and an associated spring, a slide block and associated spring, a groove provided in said lock cover, said plug-in unit having a key extending through an opening provided in said stop button and to one side of said slide block, the push button having a push rod provided with an inclined plane and a raised block having an inclined plane at the rear of the lock. When the plug-in unit is inserted in the stop button to separate the lock from a lockstitch of the lock base, the lock cover will open; the lock cover will not open when the plug-in unit is removed after the cover is locked. The stop button has a retainer to cover an opening in the stop button to prevent foreign obstacles from falling into the opening.

Abstract: An energy distribution system (2) is provided having a metering box (6) having a housing portion (14) and a cover (16), the cover being lockable to the metering box. An energy meter (32) is provided in the metering box with a first connector (34) extending to a wall (20) of the metering box with a connectable portion of the connector extending through an opening (26). Incoming or outgoing cables to or from the power source can be connected to the connector (34), and the connectors (34,36) are lockable to each other where the disconnection of the connectors can only be made by opening the metering box cover (16) and disconnecting the connectors from the inside of the metering box.

Abstract: An electrical junction assembly for a wiring harness (10) couples one or more branch wires (18) to a main trunk line (12). The junction assembly includes a housing (16) having an internal cavity into which is received first (34) and second (36) trunk terminals which interlock with one another and establish electrical conductivity therethrough. A branch wire (18) is inserted into the housing (16) through a branch opening (28). The branch wire (18) has a branch terminal (48) on its end which is adapted to mechanically connect to the interlocked first (34) and second (36) trunk terminals, thereby establishing electrical conductivity between the branch wire (18) and the main trunk line (12). A mounting member (56) is formed integrally on the housing (16) to provide a secure connection to a suitable mounting structure (58). A hook (40) within the cavity in the housing (16) automatically engages and securely retains the second trunk terminal (36) when inserted into a full operative position.

Abstract: An electrical insulator including a tube surrounded by an insulating sheath. The insulating sheath is composed of a filled, hardened, flexibilized, hydrophobic, cycloaliphatic epoxy resin containing from 25 to 75 percent by weight of mineral filler. The process for manufacturing this insulator includes the steps of installing the insulator tube or a precursor of the tube in an electrical insulator mold, feeding the filled unhardened hydrophobic cycloaliphatic epoxy resin in the mold so as to form the sheath, hardening the resin inserted in the mold so as to obtain the insulator, and extracting the insulator obtained from the mold.

Abstract: A closed-type motor has an elastic grommet with a through-hole into which a lead wire is inserted. The grommet covers an opening portion of a case. An elastic tube is connected to the grommet, and a cover covers the grommet. The grommet includes a pedestal portion abutted to the case; a tubular projection with the through-hole; and an annular groove surrounding a basal portion of the tubular projection. The tubular projection has an internal sectional area being equal to or larger than the one of the lead wire. The tube has an internal sectional area being equal to or larger than the one of the lead wire and has an inner diameter being equal to or less than an outer diameter of the tubular projection. The cover is provided with a central hole having a diameter being equal to or larger than an outer diameter of the tube.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a vertical cable manager for routing cables or wires. The vertical cable manager includes a vertical trough with sets of fingers. The fingers include arrow-shaped ends, which allow installation and/or removal of cables and wires, while retaining the cables and wires in cable rings. In some embodiments, a door attached to the vertical cable manager can be removable from one or both sides of the trough. In some embodiments, the vertical cable manager can include removable spools that can be attached to the trough in various positions and configurations.
