Abstract: An electrical bushing for use in a housing of an implantable medical device is proposed. The electrical bushing includes at least one electrically insulating base body and at least one electrical conducting element. The conducting element establishes, through the base body, at least one electrically conductive connection between an internal space of the housing and an external space. The conducting element is hermetically sealed with respect to the base body, at least in part. The at least one conducting element includes at least one cermet. The electrical bushing includes at least one head part. The head part includes at least one plug connector element that enables electrical connection of at least one plug element from the external space to the plug connector element.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are apparatus, methods, and systems for grounding outdoor light poles, as well as other structures, which may be exposed to lightning or other adverse electrical effects and may require a low impedance path to ground. Inventive aspects include a combination of apparatus integral to the pole or other structure and installation considerations whereby the ease of installation, reduction of onsite installation error, and reduction of impedance may be tailored to each installation. An apparatus can include a pre-installed earth grounding electrode at the lower end of the pole or structure to be inserted into the earth. A method can include installing an earth grounding electrode to/on/in a lower end of a pole or structure prior to insertion into the earth.

Abstract: A cable attachment assembly for sealing and retaining three flat cables entering a telecommunications closure provides a grommet having three radially arrayed passageways and a grommet washer having a flat portion and a raised portion for simultaneously maintaining compressive force to the grommet and mitigating creep of the grommet during thermal cycling.

Abstract: A case for housing and protecting an electronic device against moisture damage and contaminants is disclosed. The case includes a first member having a first plainer section and a first perimetric wall formed thereon, and a second member having a second planer section and a second perimetric wall formed thereon. The first perimetric wall and the second perimetric wall are engaged forming an overlap and a sealing structure for a watertight seal. The sealing structure includes a mated ring and a ridge-to-groove interlock. The case further includes a plurality interface feature accesses, including an optical access, an audio access, a button, and at least one open access for electrical connection. The case provides a cover with a plug adapted to cover up the open electrical connection access to form a watertight seal.

Abstract: An electrical assembly includes a wiring device and an insert clip or attachment member that can be preassembled to provide quick connection to an electrical box, mud ring or other support structure having an aperture with a dimension to receive the clip member. The clip member couples to the mounting screws of the wiring device and is snapped into an aperture or recess in a mud ring. The clip has outwardly projecting tabs engaging the mud ring and inwardly extending tabs engaging the mounting screws. The tabs allow the mounting screws to be pressed into the clip in a sliding manner and allow the clip to snap into the aperture in the mud ring. In another embodiment, the attachment member has a substantially C-shape having an open side that can slide onto a pair of projections on an inner edge of a mud ring for supporting the electrical device.

Abstract: A shield for biasingly self-attaching to a duplex electrical receptacle in a wall without having to be plugged into the duplex electrical receptacle or having to enter the wall and for completely concealing the duplex electrical receptacle to completely hide and thereby protect the duplex electrical receptacle from paint when painting therearound. The shield includes a shell. The shell is generally rectangular parallelepiped shaped for biasingly self-attaching to the duplex electrical receptacle in the wall without having to be plugged into the duplex electrical receptacle or having to enter the wall and for completely concealing the duplex electrical receptacle to completely hide and thereby protect the duplex electrical receptacle from the paint when painting therearound.

Abstract: Cable grommets for use with raised-floor tiles permit the passage of cables while simultaneously limiting the amount of cool air escaping from under-floor ducts and plenums. The cable grommet includes a floor tile mounting flange, one or more pairs of opposed, overlapping finger assemblies, and one or more pairs of opposed finger mounting flanges for coupling the finger assemblies to the underside of the floor tile mounting flange. The edges of the of the triangularly-shaped fingers are configured to flex around the cables while the interior core section remains generally rigid and parallel to the plane of the floor to restrict the loss of cooling air. Alternatively, the cable grommet includes a floor tile mounting flange and a finger panel defining a sinusoidal cut along its length and a plurality of intersecting short cuts.

Abstract: A gangable electrical box includes an adjustment assembly for adjusting the position and angle of an electrical device mounted in the box. The adjustment assembly includes independently adjustable leveling members coupled to opposite end walls of the box. A side member is slidably coupled to a side wall and extends between the end walls. The side wall engages the leveling members and is adjustable with the adjustment of the leveling members.

The elongated element is store or housed within the base portion and permitted access out of the housing via at least two indentions. Further, the molded portable single-member housing assembly has at least four legs.

Abstract: A grommet includes a small diameter tubular portion to which a wire harness is tightly fitted and inserted therethrough, and a large diameter tubular portion continuous to one end of the small diameter tubular portion. A silencer made of rubber is fitted within the large diameter tubular portion. The silencer includes a flat circular piece blocking a central cavity of the large diameter tubular portion. A wire harness insertion hole is provided on the flat circular piece communicating with the small diameter tubular portion of the grommet. A slit is provided from the wire harness insertion hole to an outer peripheral surface of the flat circular piece in order to insert the wire harness into the wire harness insertion hole with sideways insertion. The slit is provided with an irregularly shaped line portion to inhibit separation, configured with a keyhole-shaped or a dovetail groove-shaped line between both ends.

The first and second grommets are each integrally formed from rubber or an elastomer with a small diameter tubular portion, to which a wire harness is adhered, then inserted and fixated by tape-winding, and with a large diameter tubular portion extending from one end of the small diameter tubular portion. One portion of a stud bolt fixatedly inserted into a bolt hole bored in the peripheral rim of the wire harness through-hole on the vehicle body panel and protruding from both surfaces of the vehicle body panel passes through a bolt hole provided on the first grommet and is fixated by a nut, while another portion of the stud bolt passes through a bolt press-fitting hole provided on the second grommet.

Abstract: An in-floor electrical floor-box assembly includes a rectangular or nearly square metallic housing and a non-metallic riser with integral flange assembly having a rectangular flange that mates with the rectangular housing and an integral cylindrical riser for providing access to the electrical components through a round cover and finish flange. A low-voltage divider assembly separates cables carrying different voltages within the riser to reduce interference between the cables and any one of a variety of sub-plates having different configurations for accommodating a variety of multi-service or single service electrical functionality can be incorporated with the box.

Abstract: An electrical outlet cover assembly comprises an electrical outlet mounting box having a front edge that does not extend beyond a front surface of a wall. An extendable base is coupled with the electrical outlet mounting box and is slideable between collapsed and extended positions. When collapsed, a leading edge of the extendable base does not extend beyond the front surface of the wall. One or more guides resist decoupling of the extendable base and the electrical outlet mounting box. A lid is pivotably coupled with the extendable base, and one of the lid and the extendable base has a cord port along their respective edges. The lid has a front surface and is positionable between open and closed positions. The lid's front surface is substantially flush with the front surface of the wall when the base is collapsed and the lid is closed with respect to the extendable cover.

Abstract: A foundation base member is provided for supporting an above ground electrical device such as a light pole and for supplying electrical wiring to the electrical device. The foundation base includes a body for inserting into the ground and has an axial passage for carrying the underground electrical wires to the electrical device. A base member is coupled to the top end of the foundation body and has a passageway aligned with the axial passage of the foundation body for receiving the electrical wires. The base member is adapted for coupling to and supporting the electrical device. A clamping device is received within a recess of the base member for fixing the position of the clamping device with respect to the foundation base. In one embodiment, the clamping device is captured between the foundation base and the electrical device. The wires are clamped in position by the clamping device to prevent unauthorized removal of the wiring.

Abstract: An electric insulator is provided that can be used between an electrified wire of an electric fence and a fence post. The electric insulator generally includes a body having a lateral aperture. The lateral aperture extends for the entire length of the body and is configured to allow a wire to be laterally inserted into, or removed from, a central channel of the electric insulator. The electric insulator may include one or more fins to assist in securing the electric insulator to a fence post.

Abstract: A meter box cover including a first portion that engages an inner surface of an opening in a lid of a meter box to prevent the passage of the cover through the opening and a second portion that extends through the opening and beyond an outermost surface of the opening in the lid of the meter box. The meter cover blocks substantially an entirety of the opening and the second portion prevents the cover from being displaced within the opening.

Abstract: A power conditioner assembly includes: first and second brackets and a power conditioner. Each bracket includes a rear portion adapted to attach to a rear portion of an equipment rack and a front portion that extends frontwardly. The power conditioner includes a housing having a rear panel, a first side panel mounted to the first bracket and a second, opposed side panel mounted to the second bracket. The power conditioner is mountable to the brackets in a plurality of orientations including: a rearward orientation with the rear panel oriented substantially vertically; and at least one angled orientation with the rear panel at an oblique angle to vertical. The brackets may also be adapted to attach to other mounting surfaces and/or other brackets may be provided for this purpose to provide additional mounting options.
