  • Patent number: 5386591
Abstract: A discus training glove for use in adding to the competitive capability of discus throwers is provided herein. The present invention proposes to add an evenly distributed amount of weight to the glove of the discus thrower. The weight will be inserted and contained in a pouch on the back hand side of the glove, and if desired, additional weight in the form of a weighted pad can be attached to the pouch on the glove. By adding a balanced weight to the top portion of the hand, the discus thrower will become tolerant and adjusted to the weight added. Thus, upon removal of the additional weight, the discus thrower will have the ability to well surpass his or her best previous throws.

  • Patent number: 5384916
Abstract: A size adjustable cap utilizing a new and improved size adjustment strap is disclosed. The size adjustable cap has an opening in the back of the cap between the cap and the size adjustment strap which extends across the opening. The size adjustment strap has one end secured to the cap in the vicinity of a sweatband that is internally attached to the cap proximate its lower margin. The size adjustment strap has a free end and extends through a complementary shaped slot provided in the cap in the vicinity of the sweatband on an opposite side of the cap opening to allow the size adjustment strap to pass through the complementary shaped slot for positionment between the sweatband and the cap. Cooperating adjustment fasteners are associated with the size adjustment strap and the sweatband for engagement with one another when the size adjustment strap is positioned between the sweatband and the cap. Preferably, the cooperating adjustable fasteners are loop and hook fasteners.

  • Patent number: 5373583
Abstract: A positionable mount is demonstrated as a headgear implement-mount (28) supporting an eyewear front (30) through a resilient appendage (68). The implement-mount includes a friction surface (50) cooperating with a headed stud (52) to establish a constraint-dimension (62). The appendage is formed with an edged-channel cross section and includes an elongated slot (76) for receiving the implement-mount headed stud. In engaging the implement-mount, the appendage cross section is torsionally, deformably constricted in a manner creating resiliently biased friction between the appendage edges (72) and the friction surface, thereby holding the eyewear implement in a selected position relative to the headgear. Because the appendage with implement-mount engagement is resiliently biased, the implement position may be hand adjusted. The appendage with implement-mount engagement may be influenced by a pair of hand operators (100).
