Retraction of the distal end of the second conduit, relative to the first conduit and the stent, may deploy the stent in a body lumen. Indicia, visibly positioned on the proximal end of the stent delivery system, may function to facilitate determination of an extent of deployment of the stent during use.

The device may be unloaded from the introducer by actuating the release mechanism. Upon actuation, the release mechanism slides the distal terminus of the engager toward the guide while the stopper abuts the second surface of the device. As a result, the relative motion between the engager and the stopper slides the device off the engager. Also provided are kits that include the introducer and methods for using the introducer.
