Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions for blocking online content based on ratings supplied by the content provider are provided. A content server may communicate a content rating for online content in a response to a request for the online content. The content rating may be communicated as an attribute value within the response header. The content rating may be compared to the rating-permission for the computing device that requested the online content to determine whether the content should be blocked. If the computing device that sent the request is not approved to receive the online content then the online content is blocked.

Abstract: A broadcast receiving terminal, which implements a service executing method, includes a receiver operable to receive a service that uses a plurality of resources, a recording medium, and a service executor operable to execute a service that uses the plurality of resources in a service execution environment intended for the service. The terminal also includes an associater operable to associate the service execution environment with resource set information indicating the plurality of resources used by the service, when an application requests the service executor to execute the service, and a storager operable to store a plurality of service execution environments together with the associated resource set information. The terminal further includes a resource manager operable to provide, to a selected service, the plurality of resources indicated in the resource set information in the associated service execution environment.

Abstract: Group management of video device playback provides a mechanism for shared playback of recorded video content. Digital video playback devices are linked to a central management system through network connections which manages the shared playback, or a peer-to-peer network connection is used without the central management system. One user may be responsible for all actions affecting content playback, or all users may be permitted to affect content playback, with certain actions of those users limited in type or quantity. Group membership and group member permissions can be accomplished using the digital playback device through interactive interfaces implemented by the digital video playback device, or can be accomplished using a personal computer coupled to the device or central management system. Users may comment on shared playback using interactive video-based commentary functionality that may provide a text channel or graphical images that may be selected from a set of pre-configured commentary items.
