  • Patent number: 7991389
Abstract: Systems and methods for forwarding dispatch communications are provided. A dispatch communication forwarding request is sent to a dispatch processor or a dispatch communication forwarding server. A record associated with the dispatch station initiating the dispatch communication forwarding request is updated in a home location register to indicate that dispatch communications intended for the dispatch station should be forwarded to another dispatch station. The communication forwarding can be absolute such that all communications intended for one dispatch station are forwarded to another dispatch station. Alternatively, the communication forwarding can be conditional such that all dispatch communications meeting certain criteria intended for one dispatch station are forwarded to another dispatch station.

  • Patent number: 7852809
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of providing session mobility to an IP based real-time session in a telecommunications network whereby the telecommunications network uses the session initiation protocol for the setup and control of the session. The session comprises a media stream between a first terminal associated to a first network access point of the telecommunications network and a second terminal associated to a second network access point of the telecommunications network. A re-invite session initiation protocol signalling message related to session mobility of said session is intercepted at a session-related session border controller of the telecommunications network. Said session border controller initiates a corresponding session hand-over of said session. In said session hand-over, the media stream of said session is redirected to a new network access point of the first terminal and/or a new terminal.

  • Patent number: 7835333
Abstract: Provided is a method for refining node position information in a wireless sensor network having an ultra wideband communication network and a wireless personal area network where the initial positions of respective nodes are set, by utilizing nodes at a 2-hop distance, or more than a 2-hop distance when the number of neighboring nodes at a 1-hop distance is not sufficient to perform triangulation, and to refine the position of nodes based on a distance measured between the respective nodes. Because the initial position is refined and confirmed in a wireless sensor network, a user node operates as a pseudo anchor node for the nodes which have no anchor node nearby. Furthermore, as a node has the refined position, it can act as a pseudo anchor node and be used to compute the position of the other nodes. Additionally, positions of nodes of the wireless sensor network can be estimated with more accuracy.

  • Patent number: 7822411
Abstract: When a user validation portion validates that a person is present adjacent to an electronic apparatus, the electronic apparatus generates an identification code, converts the identification code to a QR code, and displays the QR code on an identification code display portion. When the QR code that has been displayed has been inputted with an identification code input portion to allow an operation portion to assign operation for the electronic apparatus, an operation portion transmits operation information that indicates the operation that has been assigned and the identification code to which the QR code that has been inputted has been decoded. When the identification code that has been received by the electronic apparatus corresponds to the identification code that has been displayed thereon, the electronic apparatus executes the process according to the operation indicated by the operation information that has been received thereby.

  • Patent number: 7817616
Abstract: A time synchronization method in a wireless sensor network, has an upper node that provides back-off scheduling to lower nodes in the wireless sensor network of a hierarchical structure. Each of the lower nodes synchronizes time according to the back-off scheduling based on its local clock. The time synchronous method also allows the number of packets required for synchronization in the wireless sensor network to sharply decrease, and the life time of the network to increase. Additionally, the time synchronous method provides a response packet from a lower node in response to a synchronization packet from an upper node, which is used as a synchronization start packet for secondary lower nodes, so that synchronization in the entire network is rapidly processed.
