Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system is provided that maintains blocks of a blockchain across nodes of a sharded blockchain network, wherein each node is a member of one or more shards of a plurality of active shards. The method and system employ a given node that is a member of a particular subset of the plurality of active shards to generate data representing a new block of the blockchain and store the data representing the new block. Such data includes i) a list of transaction identifiers for transactions that are part of the new block and associated with the particular subset of the plurality of active shards, and/or ii) a Partial Merkle Tree for the new block.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to techniques for presenting operations in a presentation. A technique is provided for allowing a user to insert media items on consecutive slides. During a presentation mode, the media items are determined to be two instances of a same media item, and matched such that the media item plays continuously across multiple slides. Another technique is provided to allow a user to utilize a user input to override a linearly-defined set of actions within a presentation. Another technique is utilized to temporarily select a visually obstructed object in a graphic editing interface such that the visually obstructed object may be manipulated during the temporary selection mode.

Abstract: An interactive time delayed submission that intentionally delays the actual transmission of a transaction. By embedding a time domain into the submission process, the method and system of the present invention delays actual communication of the transaction request from the client to the server in order to present a window of opportunity for the user to escape (CANCEL) the transaction before the actual transaction is transmitted to the remote process. The method comprises: a) receiving a first transaction submit event at a client interface element; b) activating a timer that pauses submitting the transaction to the server; c) cancelling the pending transaction submission on registering a second cancelling event at a client interface element during the unexpired timer interval; and d) absent registering a second cancelling event at a client interface element, and at timer interval completion, submitting the original transaction from the client to the server.

A trait data structure tracks network services for different trait categories. A given network page of a given category can be used to identify a different category and different network services and content for display to a user. Content in the trait data structure can be included in a user interface with additional contextual visualizations that allow the user to interact with the links and content via a user device, such as a handheld mobile device.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is programmed to support efficient and rapid generation of machine translation suggestions on client devices. Network latency is substantially reduced or eliminated by separating certain aspects of the translation workload across multiple classes of tasks, including final neural network output, between a client device and server device. The client device and server device may be connected such that a decoder portion of a machine translation system may be downloaded onto the client device, along with an initial translation suggestion and encoder outputs associated with a document, which document is in a source language to be translated into a target language. The initial translation suggestion may be replaced by an updated machine translation suggestion as a user inputs text in the target language called a prefix. This updated machine translation is generated on the client-side decoder using the previously-downloaded encoder outputs as input and the prefix as constraint.

Each airport group includes a respective subset of a set of airports selected for the airport group based at least in part on historical data for previous client-initiated segments to and from airports in the set of airports. The user interface is updated to present data identifying each of the one or more selected airport groups.
