Abstract: The invention is generally directed to a system and method providing a software application that can run on portable or wearable computing devices that allows for the creation and display of a virtual briefing book, for example, providing a list of attendees for a conference or other event, their photographs, and titles or other background information. According to one embodiment, the software application displays a list of briefing book files corresponding to different conferences or events that an executive or other user may attend. The user can select a briefing book and it will display pictures and background on the attendees expected for the conference. The user can access photographs, names, and other information about the attendees on-site and in a fairly discreet manner that greatly improves over conventional hard copy briefing books.

Abstract: An application distribution method and a device are provided in the technical field of Internet. Abstract: Embodiments presented herein provide techniques for rendering user-interface elements for an entity type based on a variation metamodel received in response to an API request. When a user invokes a function to access or create an entity, a user interface sends the API request to an API service. The API request identifies the entity type and is associated with context information about the user. The variation metamodel is selected by the API service based on the context information. The user interface receives and parses a response from the API service. The meta model includes metadata describing at least one aspect of a corresponding property of the entity type. Using the metadata as a guide, the user interface renders elements for the properties of the variation schema in a graphical user interface (GUI).

In accordance with a determination that the expiration criteria has been satisfied without detecting selection of the affordance, the device ceases to display the representation of the first message on the display.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein generally relate to a software application platform which provides a user with the ability to upload media items to a first file storage location from a remote second file location. The media items may be uploaded from the remote second file location via an internet connection. The user may send a link via a data network that allows the user to quickly log in and upload media items via the remote device which receives the link. Each link may authenticate the user and launch the correct application on the remote device for uploading the media items after the link is selected. As such, the user may upload media items via the remote device to the first file location via the link, without a coupling between the second file location coupled with the remote device and the first file location.
