Abstract: A driving method of a display panel is provided, including setting the first red, first green, first blue, second red, second green, and second blue multiplexed signals. In the 2i?1th multiplexing period, the charging time of the sub-pixels corresponding to the switching units controlled by the first red, the first green, and the first blue multiplexed signals is earlier than that controlled by the second red, the second green, and the second blue multiplexed signals. While In the 2ith multiplexing period, the charging time of the sub-pixels corresponding to the switching units controlled by the first red, the first green, and the first blue multiplexed signals is later than that controlled by the second red, the second green, and the second blue multiplexed signals. The method will eliminate the stripe feeling of the scream picture displayed on the display panel and so improve the display quality.

  • Patent number: 10845601
Abstract: In one implementation, a method involves obtaining light intensity data from a stream of pixel events output by an event camera of a head-mounted device (“HMD”). Each pixel event is generated in response to a pixel sensor of the event camera detecting a change in light intensity that exceeds a comparator threshold. A set of optical sources disposed on a secondary device that are visible to the event camera are identified by recognizing defined illumination parameters associated with the optical sources using the light intensity data. Location data is generated for the optical sources in an HMD reference frame using the light intensity data. A correspondence between the secondary device and the HMD is determined by mapping the location data in the HMD reference frame to respective known locations of the optical sources relative to the secondary device reference frame.

  • Patent number: 10838518
Abstract: A method of using an active stylus and a sensor controller is provided including generally four steps. The active stylus, in response to a trigger indicative of a pen lowering operation, sends refill body information indicating a type of a refill body that forms a pen tip of the active stylus. The sensor controller receives the refill body information and identifies the refill body type of the active stylus. The active stylus repeatedly sends a data signal including a pen pressure value applied to the refill body. The sensor controller derives a position of the active stylus based on the data signal using a position deriving method that corresponds to the refill body information.

  • Patent number: 10832080
Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to identifying an object in a field of view of a camera. In particular, it relates to identifying a display in the field of view of the camera. This is achieved by monitoring a space including acquiring a series of image frames of the space using the camera and detecting one or more light sources in the series of image frames. Further, one or more frequencies of periodic intensity or brightness variations, also referred to as ‘refresh rate’, of light emitted from the light sources is measured. Based on the one or more frequencies of periodic intensity variations of light emitted from the light sources, at least one display that includes the light sources is identified.
