Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for a testing platform involving application traffic are disclosed. According to one method, the method occurs at a testing platform including an emulated port control protocol (PCP) client module for requesting public network addressing information for an emulated application server module and an emulated application client module for sending application traffic. The method includes receiving, from a device under test (DUT), the public network addressing information in response to a PCP request. The method also includes providing mapping information to the emulated application client module, wherein the mapping information includes the public network addressing information.

Abstract: This specification describes technologies relating to content presentation. Abstract: The disclosure generally describes computer-implemented methods, software, and systems for rendering content. One method includes: receiving a request for content for a previously-provided resource, the request including an entity tag, and the resource including dynamic and static content; generating delta information identifying the change for inclusion in a cookie associated with the resource where only a portion of the dynamic content has changed, the delta information included in the cookie associated with a particular location of the corresponding dynamic content within the resource; and providing a response that includes the cookie for updating the dynamic content. Information stored in the cookie is used by the requesting client to update portions of dynamic content while maintaining static portions based on a cached version of the static portions.

Abstract: A method for invoking web services includes invoking a command-line program. The program receives a plurality of parameters. The method further includes generating a web service request based on the plurality of parameters. Abstract: Techniques for managing network traffic in a virtual consolidated appliance so as to avoid interruptions in existing network connections during reconfiguration of the virtual consolidated appliance are provided. In one aspect, a method for operating a virtual consolidated appliance having a plurality of servers is provided. The method includes the following steps. An assignment for load balancing is computed based on a status of the virtual consolidated appliance. A reconfiguration of the virtual consolidated appliance is discovered. A new assignment is computed for load balancing based on a new status of the virtual consolidated appliance based on the reconfiguration of the virtual consolidated appliance. Existing network connections are redirected according to the assignment during the reconfiguration of the virtual consolidated appliance. New network connections are served according to the new assignment.

Abstract: A technique for improving system administration involves implementing system administration agent programs on a plurality of devices in an administered network. A deployment agent deploys the system administration agent program or a portion thereof to suitable devices when they are detected. System monitoring agents monitor the administered network to generate data. A reporting engine sends agent reports including the generated data to a system administration server. The system administration server facilitates administration of the administered network in real time.

Abstract: The present disclosure improves upon existing systems and methods by providing a tool for managing processing resources. For instance, the presently described tool may be used to time replacement, plan for uplifts, budget for uplifts/decommissioning of hardware, and/or maintain a plurality of servers. This tool may lead to increased satisfaction, uptime, and a reduction of unexpected costs. The system may include initiating collection of variables to compile a prioritized list of servers, executing, a calculation application for determining a prioritized list of servers' end of life targets based on both technical and business parameters based on the entered variables, and prioritizing uplifts of the servers based on the technical and the business parameters.

Abstract: The present invention comprises an apparatus and method for distributed traffic control in a horizontally scaled application, in which a software-based application is implemented as a number of peer application instances that each provide a portion of the application's overall capability or capacity. An apparatus that includes a distributed traffic controller is instantiated or otherwise implemented at each application instance, and these apparatuses collectively operate to limit the overall utilization of the application by individual clients or affiliated groups of clients according to, e.g., Service Level Agreements or SLAs, and further operate to prevent disproportionate utilization of any one of the application instances. Advantageously, such operations are accomplished according to the teachings herein using efficient information propagation protocols between the distributed traffic controllers.
