Abstract: To provide a portable blower having excellent battery heat radiating properties. A battery mounting portion projects convexly into an air passage. Outer surfaces of a bottom surface section and side surface sections of the battery mounting portion form part of an inner surface of the air passage. The battery mounting portion holds a battery pack at an attitude that a center of gravity of the battery pack is as close to a handle portion as possible. Specifically, the battery mounting portion holds the battery pack in such a manner that the greatest surface of the battery pack having a substantially cubic shape faces the handle portion. The battery mounting portion holds the battery pack in such a manner that a longitudinal direction of the battery pack faces the air passage.

  • Patent number: 9957966
Abstract: An inflator includes a box and a compressor unit installed in the box. The box is composed of a cover and a base, which are respectively provided with upper and lower airflow-guiding members, which can quickly guide the air current generated by a cooling fan of the compressor unit to enter the motor's housing via two openings of the housing and to flow out of the motor's housing via downstream through holes of the housing, thus dissipating the heat generated by a rotor assembly in the motor, so that heat is not easy to accumulate in the motor, so that maximum power output of the motor can be achieved, and the performance and service life of the motor can be increased.

  • Patent number: 9909577
Abstract: An apparatus for providing a selectively variable orifice size for pulsation control in a reciprocating compressor system includes a rotatable upper windowed plate and a fixed lower windowed plate, the windowed plates being aligned a long a central axis to form a central cylindrical port. The upper and lower windowed plates each include at least one plate port and have mating contours allowing the upper plate to rotatably slide over the fixed lower plate, allowing their respective ports to be selectively aligned in any configuration to create any desired orifice size for a pulsation control device. The shapes of the windowed plates can be flat, conical, or any combination thereof. In one embodiment, the upper and lower windowed plates each include a plurality of plate ports which can be selectively aligned, the relative alignment of the plurality of plate ports determining the effective orifice size of the pulsation control device.

  • Patent number: 9841030
Abstract: The present invention claims a vertical self-priming pump which comprises a pump body, a motor and a medium backflow blocking device, the medium backflow blocking device comprises a static ring and a moving ring which are vertically and oppositely arranged, and an elastic supporting sleeve; the moving ring is embedded on the upper surface of the impeller, the elastic supporting sleeve is fixed on the upper surface of the flow guide body, and the static ring is embedded on the lower surface of an elastic supporting ring. During normal working, the elastic supporting sleeve of the present invention in the medium backflow blocking device generates a downward deformation under the action of liquid medium pressure, thus the moving ring and the static ring closely contact with each other and block the backflow gap channel, and the pump efficiency is improved.

  • Patent number: 9777640
Abstract: A centrifugal compressor for a turbocharger includes an inlet-adjustment mechanism in an air inlet for the compressor, operable to move between an open position and a closed position in the air inlet. The inlet-adjustment mechanism includes an axially elongated ring. In the open position, the radially outer surface of the ring is spaced from a tapering inner surface of the air inlet so that air can flow in an annular passage between the tapering surface and the ring. In the closed position, the ring abuts the tapering surface to close off the annular passage, whereby the effective inlet diameter is then defined by the inner diameter of the ring at its trailing edge. Movement of the inlet-adjustment mechanism from the open position to the closed position is effective to shift the compressor's surge line to lower flow rates.

  • Patent number: 9745970
Abstract: A linear compressor employing a piezoelectric actuator operating in resonance at a frequency substantially below its natural resonant frequency, which is usually of the order of 10 kHz. Low frequency resonance operation of the actuator, of the order of 100 Hz., is achieved by incorporating the actuator and its housing with the moving compression piston, such that the moving mass is substantially increased, and by reduction of the effective piezoelectric stiffness using hydraulic amplification of the actuator displacement. Both these procedures result in a reduction of the actuator resonant frequency. The hydraulic amplification is achieved by using a hydraulic chamber with different sized pistons, linking the actuator motion with motion of the actuator housing, to which the compressor piston is attached. The high efficiency achieved and the lack of moving parts or the need for lubricating oil makes the compressor ideal for use in high reliability and high purity applications.
