Abstract: The present invention is directed to a door handle sanitizing cassette that is installed within an internal cavity formed within a door. Prior to the installation, the cassette is fitted with all required door hardware and the equipment necessary to spray the door handles with a sanitizing liquid each time the door is opened or at preset intervals. The invention is designed to provide an inexpensive and easily installed system in public buildings to substantially reduce the spread of infectious disease by eliminating contaminated surfaces on the door handles.
Abstract: A method of sterilizing containers by using a peracetic acid-type sterilizing composition solution, wherein the sterilizing composition solution containing peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid and catalase as prepared in a circulating tank (1) is heated through a heating unit (3), fed to a sterilizing unit (4), and is recovered in the circulating tank (1) after it is used for the sterilization, wherein the catalase is added to the sterilizing composition solution in a circulating passage of after it was used for the sterilization but before it is fed to the heating unit. This makes it possible to suppress the catalase from losing its activity, to maintain the sterilizing power of the sterilizing composition solution, and to use the sterilizing composition solution in a circulating manner without cooling it saving, therefore, the heat energy providing advantage in economy.

The device includes: a chamber; a tank for containing a fluid of a density such that the packaged products float when they are poured in bulk into the fluid, the tank presenting an evacuation compartment for evacuating floating products, the evacuation compartment including a hatch that is suitable for being submerged and then opened so as to evacuate a portion of the fluid including the floating products; fluid supply means for filling the tank and for regulating the level of fluid in the tank; submersion means; recovery means; and reception means.
Abstract: A peracetic acid type sterilizing composition solution containing peracetic acid, acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and catalase enzyme, wherein said sterilizing solution has a pH in a range of 2.6 to 5.0, said catalase enzyme is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 10 ?g/ml, the concentration of said peracetic acid is 500 to 10,000 ppm, and the concentration of said hydrogen peroxide is less than 500 ppm. The concentration of the hydrogen peroxide can be efficiently decreased due to the catalase enzyme that is added in small amounts thereby suppressing the bubbling caused by the addition of the catalase enzyme.
Abstract: A solid body of dazomet for use in internal remedial treatments of wood and methods of applying such solid bodies to wooden structures and manufacturing such solid bodies. Abstract: A decontamination process device includes a chamber that contains a decontamination target, a heating device that generates decontamination vapor, an air sending part that sends the decontamination vapor into the chamber, a ventilation system that ventilates the chamber, a controller that controls operations of the decontamination process device. The controller performs a supply process that supplies the decontamination vapor into the chamber and an elimination process that eliminates a decontamination component after the supply process. The ventilation system adjusts an ventilation amount and the controller is set to repeat the supply processes at multiple times, and to perform a dry process between the repeated supply processes and to maintain the chamber at a positive pressure during the dry process.

Abstract: A lean MEG stream having a first pH level is contacted with a CO2-rich gas stream to yield a lean MEG product having a second different and lower pH level preferably in a range of 6.5 to 7.0. The system and method can be readily incorporated into a slipstream MEG recovery package, with a source of the lean MEG stream being a MEG regeneration section of the package. The CO2-rich gas could be a vented CO2 stream from the MEG reclamation section of the package. Unlike hydrochloric and acetic acid overdosing, CO2 overdosing of the lean MEG stream does not lead to rapid acidification of the lean MEG product to be stored or injected.
Abstract: In one example, we describe a method and system for toothbrush sterilization and/or storage with better quality in terms of hygiene and convenience, where the brush head and the shaft that enter the user's mouth are never contacted by the chamber. Also, below the brush head and shaft, there is no chamber. If any drops of water were to fall off the brush head, they would fall all the way through the chamber and reside on the counter on which the chamber rests, which can be removed or cleaned easily later. In one example, we use a UV-C lamp as our sterilization technique. This selection has many advantages over the other sterilizations techniques. In one example, we use a single lamp, but that lamp is in a ring configuration (otherwise known as annular, torus, or donut), with good coverage of the toothbrush, from all angles.

Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for the automation of the extraction of a liquid substance from a material. The disclosed systems include multiple tanks and valves under computer control providing for the safe transport of a solvent through the material under computer control. Solvent transport is accomplished by heating and/or cooling selected tanks or vessels to cause the solvent to evaporate or condense as desired. Tank and/or solvent heating and cooling is controlled automatically. Thus, in all embodiments the use of external pumps can be avoided.
Abstract: The invention provides an autoclave capable of creating a uniform temperature distribution inside a pressurized chamber and a method for manufacturing tires using the autoclave. The autoclave shaped as a cylindrical pressurized chamber has a heat source and a fan disposed on one end side thereof and ducts extending lengthwise on the inner peripheral wall surface thereof to discharge air blown by the fan to the other end side thereof. And the air outlets of the ducts are so designed as to discharge the air blown by the fan in a circumferential direction of the pressurized chamber.
Abstract: An applicator assembly may include a body having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, an actuator operatively coupled to the body, a container disposed within the body, an application member attached to the distal end portion, and a valve disposed between the container and the application member. Actuation of the actuator opens the valve and places the interior of the container in fluid communication with the application member by way of a compressive force applied to the body. A method of applying a solution to a surface may include actuating the actuator, wherein actuation of the actuator applies a compressive force to the body that opens the valve and places the interior of the container in fluid communication with the application member, and contacting the application member to the surface, thereby applying the solution to the surface.
