Patent number: 11933813Abstract: Disclosed herein is a wind measuring system including a first flow sensor and plural second flow sensors. The first flow sensor and the plural second flow sensors each include a microheater including a board, an insulating film, and a heater. The board includes a first principal surface and a second principal surface. The board has defined therein an opening portion passing through the board along a direction from the first principal surface toward the second principal surface. The insulating film includes a peripheral portion disposed on the first principal surface, a central portion having the heater disposed thereon, and a connection portion extending from the central portion to be connected to the peripheral portion to support the central portion over the opening portion. The first flow sensor and the plural second flow sensors each output a signal that varies according to a change in electrical resistance value of the heater.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2021Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: ROHM Co., LTD.Inventor: Shunsuke Akasaka

Patent number: 11914043Abstract: Method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for generating synthetic bathymetry using one or more fractal techniques. In some embodiments, real terrain data generated from sensor-based measurement of terrain associated with but outside a water body are received. This data may include, for example, real terrain data generated from sensor-based measurement (e.g., LiDAR) of at least a portion of an area proximate the water body. One or more fractal dimensions is/are extracted from the real terrain data, and synthetic bathymetry of the water body is generated based on the one or more fractal dimensions using one or more fractal terrain generation techniques. In some embodiments, one or more simulated geological processes is/are applied to the synthetic bathymetry. For example, a simulated sedimentation process and/or a simulated erosion process may be applied to soften the synthetic bathymetry.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Eli Michael Dow, Michael E Henderson, Campbell D Watson, Guillaume A. Patent number: 11852520Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method for determining a reflective surface of a steering gear and a focusing steering gear of an external level gauge. The method includes: obtaining a focal length and a specific reflection angle (101); determining an 0th step reflective surface (102) of the reflective surface of the steering gear based on the focal length and the specific reflection angle; determining an adjacent step reflective surface (103) by a geometric method based on the 0th step reflective surface; and if a number of steps of the reflective surface of the steering gear reaches a preset value, determining the reflective surface (104) of the steering gear based on the 0th step reflective surface and the adjacent step reflective surface. According to the present disclosure, a liquid level can be measured at an outer side of a side wall of a vertical liquid storage tank.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2021Date of Patent: December 26, 2023Assignee: XI'AN DINGHUA ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.Inventors: Dinghua Wang, Rui Wang, Pu Wang
