Then, the first terminal device sends the first reference signal to the network device. The first parameter value is different from a parameter value corresponding to another terminal device in the plurality of terminal devices.

During other DRX cycles, the first set of signals may be transmitted during the off-period. When the first set of signals are transmitted during the on-period, the UE may refrain from activating certain components during the off-period, thereby conserving power.
