Abstract: A system, method and non-transitory computer-readable medium utilize an equivalent circuit model in which electrostatic capacitance changes in response to an arbitrary DC bias voltage applied to a capacitor from the outside. The equivalent circuit model includes a capacitor equivalent circuit section composed of a base circuit and a multistage circuit, a reference current generator section that calculates a reference current, a multiplying factor generator section that calculates a multiplying factor, and a current source current generator section that generates a current of the current source based on the reference current and the multiplying factor. The multiplying factor generator section generates a voltage of an nth-degree polynomial corresponding to the DC bias voltage when applying the DC bias voltage, and defines a current to be generated when the generated voltage is applied to a resistance as the multiplying factor.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for repairing a defect in an anatomical feature, the defect having a surface that defines a volume. The method includes receiving imaging data obtained using a medical imaging technique. The imaging data represents the anatomical feature. In one example, the method further includes creating a three-dimensional (3D) model of a mold for an implant based on the imaging data. The mold includes a cavity that replicates the volume of the defect. In another example, the method further includes creating a 3D model of an implant based on the imaging data. The implant is configured to fill the volume of the defect. In various implementations, the mold, the implant, and/or a replica of the implant are formed based on the 3D model of the mold or the 3D model of the implant. Guides and implants corresponding to the method are also disclosed.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a product acceptance test application is transmitted by an apparatus across a wireless network to a wireless communications device. The product acceptance test application is configured to be executed by the wireless communications device so as to simulate network communications corresponding to a network communications test scenario. The wireless communications device simulates the network communications using the product acceptance test application and generates product acceptance data which is sent to the apparatus. The apparatus receives the product acceptance data from the wireless communication device indicative of test result data that is based upon the simulated network communications. The apparatus determines a product acceptance decision based on the product acceptance data.

Abstract: Method and system is described for modeling one or more geophysical properties of a subsurface volume. The method includes extracting locations from the data volume and combining them into an object, for example a horizon. The extraction may begin with selecting one or more initial traces, assigning labels to each sample of each trace, selecting a propagation pattern, and propagating the labels from the initial traces along a vector volume. Then, locations with the same label are extracted (1106). As an alternative to label propagation, a specific type of labeled volume (1102) may be obtained, such as a stack of surfaces (1132). The object may then be further modified or utilized to enhance the process of producing hydrocarbons.
Abstract: A method of recovering a liquid hydrocarbon using an injectate includes recovering the liquid hydrocarbon through primary extraction. Physico-chemical data representative of electrostatic interactions between the liquid hydrocarbon and the reservoir rock are measured. At least one additive of the injectate is selected based on the physico-chemical data. The method includes recovering the liquid hydrocarbon from the reservoir rock through secondary extraction using the injectate.

Abstract: A method for designing a drilling tool assembly, having a drill bit disposed at one end includes defining initial drilling tool assembly design parameters; calculating a dynamic response of the drilling tool assembly; adjusting a value of a drilling tool assembly design parameter; and repeating the calculating and the adjusting until a drilling tool assembly performance parameter is optimized.
Abstract: A method and workstation are described for designing compensation in an orthodontic archwire in order to offset the bracket-slot-to-wire play and realize the disered displacement in a tooth from an initial position to the target position. Bracket-slot-to-wire play can reduce the effectiveness of an archwire in bringing the teeth of an orthodontic patient from malocclusion to desired target. Bracket-slot-to-wire play is the difference in volume between the size of a bracket slot, which is larger than the size of the archwire, and the size of the sliding segment of an archwire inserted in the bracket slot. Customized archwires comprise alternating sliding segments interconnected by segments with bends and/or twists in three-dimensional space. The sliding segments are placed in the bracket slots and exert forces on the brackets created by the segments with bends and/or twists for moving the teeth towards the target positions.
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to improve prediction accuracy for a performance value of a monitoring target system even if the performance value is substantially different for each of patterns of use. A monitoring data analyzing apparatus includes a regression-model recalculating section 14 configured to combine regression models, which are generated for each of a plurality of groups into which log data including monitoring data in a monitoring target system set as a target of performance management is classified, using the log data belonging to the groups corresponding to the regression models and test target log data, which is the log data set as a target of a performance test, to recalculate the regression models.

Abstract: A simulation technique that handles accesses to a frame of instruction memory by inserting a command object between a frame proxy and a memory frame provides improved throughput in simulation environments. The instruction frame, if present, processes the access to the frame. If an instruction frame is not present for the accessed frame, the memory frame handles the request directly. The instruction frame caches fetched and decoded instructions and may be inserted at the first access to a corresponding instruction memory frame. The instruction frame can track write accesses to instruction memory so that changes to the instruction memory can be reflected in the state of the instruction frame. Additional check frames may be chained between the interface and the memory frame to handle breakpoints, instruction memory watches or other access checks on the instruction memory frame.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are representative embodiments of methods, systems, and apparatus that can used to control real-time events (e.g., the real-time clock) during the design, simulation, or verification of an embedded system. In one exemplary embodiment disclosed herein, for example, a real-time clock signal is generated and tasks defined by an embedded software application are triggered with the real-time clock signal. In this embodiment, the embedded software application is executed by an embedded processor with a real-time operating system (“RTOS”), and the real-time clock signal is controllable independent of a processor clock signal driving the embedded processor in a manner that allows the real-time clock to have a different time base than the processor clock.
