  • Patent number: 7025303
Abstract: A turning bar for contactless guidance of a tubular film web moved at a loop angle around the turning bar, including a support tube with a hollow interior, which can be connected with a compressed air source. The support tube has a plurality of air outlet openings which communicate with the interior and are spaced apart from each other, substantially over an entire width of the support tube within an angular area of the support tube corresponding to the loop angle of the tubular film web. An air-permeable microporous layer is applied to the exterior of the support tube and forms the surface of the latter, through which the compressed air exiting the air outlet openings of the support tube can flow. The compressed air exits the microporous layer as a laminar air flow, which forms a laminar air cushion between the turning bar and the tubular film web. An angular area in which the air outlet openings are formed in the support tube is increased with respect to the loop angle of the tubular film web.

  • Patent number: 7007929
Abstract: The present invention discloses a wire stranding roller and a new method for the same, in a LP insulator being mounted at a cross arm of pin long column and insulating and supporting a high voltage wire, which drastically improves workability and greatly reduces construction cost because the location of a wire don't need to be changed after the stranding and wire pulling, which is easy to work with and is very effective in reducing labor cost and preventing a safety accident because it can easily perform wiring and removing works no matter how large the weight of the wires would be, which is capable of precisely adjusting a dip (degree in which the wire hangs down) because the wire are placed on an insulator, which is to be mounted, during a wire pulling work and also which can solve the problem of securing a work space when carrying out the work applying and uninterruptible method by forming a open-and-shut roller capable of wire insertion and a wire stranding roller consisting of an insulator coupling openi

  • Patent number: 6978962
Abstract: A wire winding machine includes two mandrels for winding wire alternately thereon. A traverse positions wire axially along each mandrel, and moves in an arcuate path to position wire adjacent one or the other mandrel. A single transfer arm transfers wire from a wound to an unwound mandrel by extending a wire guide adjacent the wound mandrel, retracting the wire guide to engage the wire, rotating to position the wire adjacent the wound mandrel, and extending to guide the wire into a clamping and cutting mechanism. The mechanism clamps and cuts the wire in response to the mandrel end cap being placed into position. The wire winding machine includes a portable operator console, and a network interface. A wire tension control unit includes a radiated signal source and detector to detect movement of a moveable pulley assembly relative to a fixed pulley assembly to control the supply of wire.

  • Patent number: 6964389
Abstract: A fishing reel includes an adjustable dynamic drag mechanism and a static drag mechanism connected to a brake mechanism. The static drag mechanism allows a user to select a predetermined amount of static drag whereas the manually adjustable dynamic drag mechanism allows the user to instantly add more drag. The fishing reel also allows a user to set a maximum total drag (i.e., the combination of the static and the maximum dynamic drag) such that the user cannot accidentally add too much dynamic drag that could result in the total drag exceeding the strength of the fishing line. The fishing reel preferably includes an adjustable leverage mechanism that allows the user to select the desired amount of mechanical advantage. In the preferred embodiment, the brake mechanism includes a ratchet plate, a yoke, and a friction ring disposed between the plate and the yoke.
