Abstract: A camera device generates a captured image, extracts flow line information relating to a staying position or a passing position of a moving object, and transmits the generated captured image and the extracted flow line information of the moving object to a server device for each predetermined transmission period. The server device generates a flow line analysis image in which the flow line information of the moving object is superimposed on the captured image and displays the generated flow line analysis image on a displayer. Furthermore, the server device switches a first flow line analysis image in a first predetermined period to a second flow line analysis image in a second predetermined period according to an operation of changing the period, and displays the resulting flow line analysis image.
Abstract: Instruction code is executed in a central processing unit of a network computing device. Besides the central processing unit the device is provided with a code sequencer operative to execute predefined instruction sequences. The code sequencer is invoked by a trigger instruction in the instruction code, which is encountered by the central processing unit. Responsively to its invocations the code sequencer executes the predefined instruction sequences.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can provide a creative tools interface that includes one or more options for visually modifying at least one media content item to be posted through a social networking system. At least one visual modification is applied to the media content item in response to a user selection of one or more of the options. The visually modified media content item is posted through the social networking system, wherein the user designates whether the visually modified media content item is posted as an ephemeral media content item or as a non-ephemeral media content item.

Abstract: An example game controller includes a spherical housing, a joystick, an operation button, a vibrator, and an antenna. The housing includes a first hemispherical portion and a second hemispherical portion. The joystick is on a boundary between the first hemispherical portion and the second hemispherical portion. The vibrator is inside the second hemispherical portion and configured to generate a vibration to vibrate the housing. The antenna is inside the first hemispherical portion, the antenna configured to transmit, to outside, information regarding an operation on the joystick and information regarding an operation of the operation button.
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a box sealer including a first box measurer including a top flap engager configured to move downwardly from a disengaged position above a box at a box measuring position to an engaged position in which the top flap engager engages one or more of the four upright open top flaps of the box. The amount of movement of the top flap engager is partially used to determine the height of the box. The determined height is then used to position a combined flap closer and flap sealer at an appropriate position.
Abstract: A vanadium dioxide (VO2)-based threshold switch device exhibiting current-controlled negative differential resistance (S-type NDR), an electrical oscillator circuit based on the threshold switch device, a wafer including a plurality of said devices, and a method of manufacturing said device are provided. The VO2-based threshold switch device exhibits volatile resistance switching and current-controlled negative differential resistance from the first time a sweeping voltage or voltage pulse is applied across the device without being treated with an electroforming process. Furthermore, the device exhibits substantially identical switching characteristics over at least 103 switching operations between a high resistance state (HRS) and a low resistance state (LRS), and a plurality of threshold switch devices exhibits a threshold voltage VT spreading of less than about 25%.

Abstract: The present application discloses a low-pressure casting secondary pressure process for an aluminum wheel. The characteristics of smooth low-pressure filling of molten aluminum alloy and rapid solidification of a rim are preserved, the aluminum alloy at a center sprue is frozen by using a center sprue spreader and a forced water coolling to close a mold cavity, and secondary pressure is implemented to the aluminum wheel by means of down-movement of center extrusion rods, so that the material mechanical properties of an aluminum wheel casting and the production efficiency of the casting process are improved.
Abstract: A thermal barrier coating for a turbine engine component contains neodymia, optionally alumina, and zirconia. The thermal barrier coating has resistance to CMAS attack and a low thermal conductivity.

Abstract: The modular enclosure with water management mating interfaces most fundamentally includes a mechanical connection which directs and obstructs water via various strategically positioned structures and gaps. One basic configuration includes a base having at least one end face and a periphery extending from the end face. The periphery includes an outward projecting lip. A plurality of retainers is secured to the base below the lip. The retainers and the lip define a channel extending along at least part of each side of the base. A dome having longitudinal sides that terminate in a bottom edge and an inward projecting flange that is spaced from the bottom edge is received by the flange in the channel to retain the dome to the base.
Abstract: Industrial machines and methods of operating the same. One method includes receiving, with an electronic processor, a current value of a parameter of an industrial machine during operation of the industrial machine and comparing, with the electronic processor, the current value of the parameter to a stored value of the parameter to determine whether the industrial machine is unlevel. The method also includes, when the industrial machine is unlevel, autonomously, with the electronic processor, changing a position of at least one of a plurality of jacks to level the industrial machine, wherein autonomously changing the position of at least one of the plurality of jacks includes at least one selected from a group consisting of extending the at least one of the plurality of jacks and retracting the at least one of the plurality of jacks.
Abstract: An optical modulator may include a lower waveguide, an upper waveguide, and a dielectric layer disposed therebetween. When a voltage potential is created between the lower and upper waveguides, these layers form a silicon-insulator-silicon capacitor (also referred to as SISCAP) guide that provides efficient, high-speed optical modulation of an optical signal passing through the modulator. In one embodiment, at least one of the waveguides includes a respective ridge portion aligned at a charge modulation region which may aid in confining the optical mode laterally (e.g., in the width direction) in the optical modulator. In another embodiment, ridge portions may be formed on both the lower and the upper waveguides. These ridge portions may be aligned in a vertical direction (e.g., a thickness direction) so that ridges overlap which may further improve optical efficiency by centering an optical mode in the charge modulation region.
