Abstract: Pipe machining apparatuses, coupling members, and methods of assembling pipe machining apparatuses are provided. In one aspect, a coupling member for coupling together a first section and a second section of a pipe machining apparatus includes a first housing member adapted to couple to the first section, a second housing member adapted to couple to the second section, an arm movably coupled to the first housing member, and an engagement member coupled to the arm. The arm is adapted to move between a coupled condition, in which the engagement member engages the second housing member, and an uncoupled condition, in which the engagement member does not engage the second housing member.
Abstract: Embodiments include active protection systems and methods for an aerial platform. An onboard system includes radar modules, detects aerial vehicles within a threat range of the aerial platform, and determines if any of the aerial vehicles are an aerial threat. The onboard system also determines an intercept vector to the aerial threat, communicates the intercept vector to an eject vehicle, and causes the eject vehicle to be ejected from the aerial platform to intercept the aerial threat. The eject vehicle includes alignment thrusters to rotate a longitudinal axis of the eject vehicle to substantially align with the intercept vector, a rocket motor to accelerate the eject vehicle along an intercept vector, divert thrusters to divert the eject vehicle in a direction substantially perpendicular to the intercept vector, and attitude control thrusters to make adjustments to the attitude of the eject vehicle.

Abstract: A continuously variable transmission includes an input pulley (1) in which a pair of pulley halves (4) with pulley faces (4a) form a V-groove (6), an input shaft (2) which journals the input pulley (1), and an endless transmission member (5) wound on the input pulley (1). One of the pulley halves (4) of the input pulley (1) has a piston part (16) relatively rotatable with respect to the input shaft (2) and a pulley half disc (13) slidable on the surface of the piston part (16) through the intermediary of a friction reducing part (11) between the piston part (16) and the endless transmission member (5). The pulley half disc (13) is splined to and integrally rotated with the input shaft (2).
Abstract: The invention relates to a stochastic-type microprocessor. In some embodiments, the microprocessor comprises an elementary stochastic computation module able to receive, as input, two random and independent binary input signals each representing a binary coding of two respective given input probability values, and able to generate, as output, a random binary output signal. The elementary module comprises: a programmable logic unit, able to combine two input signals to generate an output signal; an addressable memory, able to store an output probability value coded by an output signal generated by the logic unit; a first stochastic clock, able to produce a first clock signal; a second stochastic clock, able to produce a second clock signal.

Abstract: A container is described for storing various tools and items for sewing in an organized manner and facilitating the process of sewing (e.g., for sewn in hair extensions) for example, by distributing thread. In an example embodiment, the introduced container comprises a housing within which one or more spools of thread can be stored on one or more spindles. The housing can be enclosed by a container top that includes a threading hole through which thread from the one or more spools can be extracted from the interior of the housing, while in use. Further, the container top can include a pin and/or needle holder such as a pin cushion. The container may include additional features such as a bracket for holding a pair of scissors and a drawer for stowing extra thread and/or needles.
Abstract: A tonneau cover for covering the cargo box of a pickup truck. The tonneau cover includes a cover assembly and at least one latch assembly including a striker subassembly and a latch subassembly. The striker subassembly is integrated into the cover assembly and includes a striker. The latch subassembly includes a clamp configured to attachment the latch subassembly to a sidewall of the cargo box. The latch subassembly also includes a latch arm and a latch hook. The latch arm is pivotally mounted to the clamp and the latch hook is connected to the latch arm at a location spaced apart from where the latch arm is pivotally mounted to the clamp. Provided at an end of the latch hook is a hook for releasable engagement with the striker.

Abstract: A rear derailleur is provided for mounting to a bicycle. An upper body operationally engages the rear derailleur to the bicycle, and a lower body operationally engages a chain cage engaging a chain of the bicycle. Upper and lower link arms are pivotally connected to the upper and lower bodies. The upper link arm includes an actuating arm extending downwardly from the upper link arm through an aperture of the lower link arm. A cable for actuating the derailleur operationally engages the actuating arm for moving the chain cage relative to the bicycle.
Abstract: A dielectric composition, a dielectric element, an electronic component and a laminated electronic component are disclosed. In an embodiment the dielectric composition includes particles having a perovskite crystal structure including at least Bi, Na, Sr and Ti, wherein at least some of the particles have a core-shell structure including a core portion and a shell portion, and wherein the content of Bi present in the core portion is no greater than 0.83 times the content of Bi present in the shell portion.
