Abstract: An oily make-up cosmetic composition which can provide an excellent feeling upon use, a superior make-up effect, and good stability over time is disclosed. The cosmetic composition is normally of a solid form, and comprises a silicone gel composition and a cosmetic powder material, both dispersed in an oil base. The composition may further comprises an aqueous gel of water-soluble polymer containing glycerine.
Abstract: A composition for inhibiting the degeneration of cells including liver cells by drugs and relieving the toxicity of drugs to internal organs including the liver contains as an essential component a 3-oxygermylpropionic acid polymer which is represented by:[(O.sub.1/2).sub.3 GeCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 COOH].sub.nwherein n is an integer of at least 1, takes the form of a white acicular crystal and has a melting point of about 230.degree. C. at which it decomposes or coagulates. The present composition may be used with a carrier hydroxypropylcellulose in an amount of 0.005 to 50% by weight relative to 0.005 to 5% by weight of the 3-oxygermylpropionic acid polymer.
Abstract: This invention relates to aqueous acidic solutions which are thickened by cationic polymer, the polymer being added to the solution in the form of particles below 10 .mu.m in size. The useful cationic polymers are formed from a water soluble cationic ethylenically unsaturated monomer or blend of monomers comprising dialkylaminoalkylacrylics that includes a polyethylenically unsaturated cross-linking agent. A peak viscosity is achieved in the aqueous acidic solution at a particular cross-linker concentration. The concentration of cross-linking agent chosen is carefully controlled so that the viscosifying effect can be optimised whilst minimising the amount of polymer that has to be added. The amount of polymer in the aqueous acidic solution is typically in the range of from, 0.01% to 5% dry weight polymer.
Abstract: Granules prepared by absorbing on hydrophilic polymer of acrylic acid polymers and/or acrylamide polymers granules an aqueous emulsion of at least one active principle such as pyrethrinoids and drying the resulting mixture to obtain granules which release the active principle in uniform manner.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical preparation comprising drug micropellets containing a drug coated on a core material wherein each pellet ranges in size from about 70 microns to 750 microns and wherein each micropellet is coated with a controlled release coating.
Abstract: The instant invention relates to vinylic macromers containing perfluoropolyalkylether and polyalklether segments, polymers and ophthalmic devices such as intraocular implants and contact lenses and particularly soft hydrogel contact lenses made therefrom.
Abstract: An attractant having attraction activity for to Tribolium confusum J., which contains 2,6-dimethyl-1-octanol as a component exhibiting an attraction activity. 2,6-dimethyl-octanol can be diluted with an appropriated solvent, or carried by an appropriate solid-phase carrier in the form of tablets. The attactant can be effectively used in lure trapping.
Abstract: The rate of disintegration and/or dissolution of effervescent acetylsalicylic acid tablets obtained by direct compression of a dry powder mixture is surprisingly increased by incorporating in said mixture powdered dextrose and/or sucrose. Preferably, spray-crystallized dextrose is used.
